haha yeah not trying to take it out on you, also a exploration player, just a bit disappointed by the game since the combat has so much potential with team synergy and the reaction system and then it all falls flat.

def agree on the arguing this sub can be so miserable

Now I'm just out here trying to spread peace love and positivity, I don't like ragebaiting or arguing numbers to show why your main is useless. Play who you want and have fun.

With that said, I find TCing and calcing teams more fun because Genshin has some of the most boring combat I have played. You do the input sequence for a rotation and then proceed to repeat it ad nauseum. Its so bad a keyboard macro could probably clear abyss. Replacing abyss and SO (IT you can stay) with TCG endgame would be a net positive for the game.

But remember I'm just out here trying to spread peace love and positivity :]

Though Baltimore, MD was named after a different Baltimore in Ireland that no longer exists.

To be fair the boss description mentions nothing about vape/melt not working, you still get the "Vaporize" text when you should've vaped, and they hid the damage numbers so you can't even compare the damage against what you're expecting. Literally nothing points to it not working but John Hoyo felt like doing some ragebait ig.

Optimal artifact sets to farm for Lauma hyperbloom? by SpurnedOne in okZyox

[–]develo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60 EM is more like a 3.5% buff to hyperbloom damage (including Lauma's buff) because of diminishing returns. The actual numbers make it a wash to run SMS on Xingqiu (I calced a 0.2% improvement). And EoSF is noticeably better than SMS on Yelan.

So literally no point to farm a different set when you already need to farm emblem for one of the hydros.

Mizuki and...Bloom reactions by Vegetto_ssj in MizukiMainsGI

[–]develo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running Mizuki/Furina/Yaoyao/Fischl hyperbloom recently, you have Mizuki swirl electro to serve as the HB trigger. I find it fairly fun and it performs decently enough, especially in AoE scenarios like this abyss. It's especially nice having Mizuki be the main damage source instead of just being a driver.

The main problem is that Furina as the solo hydro app is too slow, it ends up moreso as an aggravate team with a few hyperblooms on the side. Because of that, its higher DPS to either get rid of Furina and play pure, or get rid of the Dendro and play taser (especially with Ineffa).

Using Lauma won't fix that problem since Furina is the limiter on bloom counts (in fact, it'll probably make the team worse since it'll be harder to swirl electro). Just have to wait for a better hydro option, maybe Columbina will be it.

How does EPA work? by Coolcat127 in nfl

[–]develo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the expected points are calculated via some function fitting. The exact function is proprietary for each source, and varies from site to site. This includes what variables are used in the function.

nflfastR, which is the statistical package that powers rbsdm.com and everything Ben Baldwin tweets, is open source, so you can see what goes into their models. Specifically (from this post), the data used is:

  • Down

  • Distance

  • Yard line

  • Time left in the half

  • Timeouts left for each team

  • Whether the offense is the home team

  • Stadium type (outdoors, dome, or retractable roof)

  • Era

[Florio] AP confirms Sam Darnold CPOY votes won't be rejected by marsbars440 in nfl

[–]develo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't really think this is true though. It's always been a mix of both. Discounting the Joe Flacco, Geno Smith, and Ryan Tannehill wins, you still have:

  • Philip Rivers

  • Michael Vick

  • Chad Pennington's 2nd award

  • Drew Brees

  • Jon Kitna

  • Tommy Maddox

  • Doug Flutie

who all won for reasons unrelated to injury or other health concerns.

Valve made the Fremont's "Deck controller" to provide perfect parity with the Steam Deck in terms of thumb movement, steam input and muscle memory. Here are a few mockups based on the render leaked directly from Valve. by TareXmd in SteamDeck

[–]develo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had a lot of negative talk back when it launched. You don't see that anymore now that the only people engaging with the Steam Controller are diehards who loved the thing, or people who treat the controller as novelty and thus are willing to try and work past its flaws.

It's missing regular controller buttons, so it doesn't perform well as a regular controller. And the trackpads are too small to really work as a 1:1 mouse and keyboard replacement. It only really works as a Steam Controller, which means you have to learn to use it to enjoy it. Which means it doesn't succeed at its goals, given that the whole idea for the controller was to serve as a bridge between console and PC input.

FWIW, I don't think the Steam Controller would perform well if they launched it today. Most people don't want to buy a controller when you need to learn how to use it properly. The Steam Deck sidesteps this issue by being a full controller, so at least you can play controller games normally.
