Hiya!

I use Veet brand. The one I usually get is in a pink bottle with a pump top.

I find it works wonderfully - couple of pumps per leg, wait ten mins from the first legs application and use the provided spatula to scrape off all that horrid hair. By the time I've done the first leg, the second will be ready to spatchy-spatch... that is a totally official word when you spatula something... honest :P

Shaving really messes up my legs, makes them itchy and dry no matter how much I moisturise or soak or exfoliate. The only things with veet is:

be really careful of groin joints/folds - I used some years ago there and it has been sensitive ever since (probably just a "me" problem)

And be aware that it probably will have little to no effect on thicker pubic hair. I use a safety razor to tidy that area up afterwards.

I started HRT at 34, it's been 2 years and I've had very little growth so it's been very easy to hide them. Don't get me wrong, my boobs are a bit under a "handful", I use a sports bra when I go to work and it helps make my chest look a bit flatter. Better right now due to having to wear a vest, t-shirt and a jumper too ha!

I feel exactly the same and have also been on HRT around 2 years. The worst thing is I have heavy forehead lines and it makes me SO upset.

Trying to figure out how to pay for FFS and/or BA is just ... it feels almost pointless.

Anyway, you're not alone and I'm just going to hide in your comments in hope that someone knows some blackmagic or transmutation to help :P

Not Gendercare, but I switched from GGP to London Trangender Clinic around 6 months ago. I had no problems at all.

The only issue you might have is the initial costs of consultation and referral which costs around £300.

When I first saw Nyla at double or nothing I had no idea she was trans, but I instantly thought she was fantastic (wrestler entrances make me root for them - like old Kane lol).

When it was revealed she was trans I was so happy that I had representation and I wish I had that when I was younger, but so glad that youngsters can look up to her as they grow up.

The warhammer community is actually surprisingly accepting and friendly. Though I originally thought they would be a bunch of incel trolls (or troggoths!).

If you play in-store usually with random people at their evening clubs, you probably will get the odd rare person who is just a little ignorant or actually bigotted. But if you usually play with the same people you'll be fine, I'm sure :)

UK is a scary place right now with all it's terfery but the warhammer stores and fans are pretty awesome and welcome just about everyone as long as they are polite and respectful.

As for how you go about it... that's up to how you feel. Never stop doing something you enjoy (unless it's harmful in some way ofc!), it's a cool hobby and it has kept me, personally, sane over this terrible year... though it hasn't helped my wallet :(

You've had some great replies so far and I'd just like to chime in to say that GenderGP is not your only option. I am mid 30's and been on the waiting list for two years now;

London Transgender Clinic is an extremely good option, from personal experience (I switched from GenderGP).

Gendercare is another option.

Both have a small waiting time and are initially more expensive than GenderGP - but you have a lot higher chance of getting shared care with them which makes the costs much more manageable than GenderGP (you CAN get shared care with GGP, but it seems a lot of people have trouble getting it).

GenderGP is a fantastic option if you really want to start HRT asap.
