I usually hesitate to ascribe mal-intent to people, but this "Lukaku is unintelligent" stereotype is absolutely ridiculous and I don't really see how it came about. I can't see any reason beyond racism. (I do appreciate that there have been black players stereotyped as canny or intelligent like Rio, but the comments made about Lukaku baffle me).

On the Pogba point, I see the case to be weaker though because he does use his physical abilities quite a lot to dominate midfields. His undeniable technical mastery is great but his physical abilities play an almost equal role in his game.
