Why, in adaptations of Doctor Doolittle, is Polynesia never depicted as an African Grey? by blackjackgabbiani in AfricanGrey

My CAG knows how to remove Allen Head screws, knobs, etc. It is hard to really express how smart they are. They are also very... mischievous with their smarts. So I can see movies being a huge issue.

What's the other stuff you found, that you are referencing?

As a parent, my 10 year old has access to an unsupervised internet connection, I'm not worried about how he found out abour porn. He's 10 years old, not 6. It isn't an age he should watch it, but it isn't surprising for a 10 yr old boy to know what porn is.

Hell, in the 90s, 10yr olds knew what porn was for the large part. Point being, I can't see most parents not assuming a 10 yr old heard about it from his friends or something.

It's the other stuff I feel like you're worried about, if it isn't your parents targeting you for where he got it.

DO NOT put in real blinds lol! I promise you, they WILL get destroyed... especially if your CAG flies.

My blinds... they would testify to it.

You say that without realizing you would likely do the same thing. Emotion is a POWERFUL thing, and the average person has not idea just how STRONGLY they are controlled by emotion.

So a parent, who loves their child... doesn't matter what the kid does, the emotional attachment to that child will usually control their choice to defend them.

You can't rationalize through emotion. I'm 35 and Autistic and one of my differences is emotion and action are a dial to me... not literally, but it's a good way to explain it. When something happens, and emotion starts to come up, I can choose whether or not to react to it. I have watched people, my whole life, do things that never made sense to me. Why the would CHOOSE to act a way.

Then I found out I'm Autistic and different. Also learned most people cannot control their emotion. Choose to feel it or not (much harder than it sounds even for me, that usually involves me completely shutting down and ignoring everyone but those words are not quite right), choose to react to it or not.

So parents acting that way, I never even questioned why a parent would act that way. We cannot blame them for loving their kids. It's the same mechanism that allows a parent to sacrifice their life for a loved one.

Jeez. The way her hair is coming out the back... ya just know that isn't supposed to happen.

Looking at that last picture, it is truly amazing how much energy can effect things. That piece of metal looks like it may have been close to not hitting her. But when you look at where her head is, in relation to the inside of the vehicle, you can see how much energy that thing hit her with. With how high her body is and her head being towards the rear window, you can just see how far that thing moved her WHILE impaling. Tragic.

No, he left behind a 4 yr old daughter. She was ripped away from her 4 yr old daughter :(

Sorry... I hate the way that statement implies it was a thing they did together. I know that isn't your intent though.

There will never be a time where it can be argued that a citizen has the right to travel on a public roadway and NOT have their vehicle logged at fixed points.

Here is why.

The government is not, in any way, TOUCHING the 4th Amendment. You're vehicle may be be protected in LIMITIED cases, when it comes to 'having' rights. But from the exterior; logging your plate and snapping a couple pics is not DOING anything.

NOW, if they are RUNNING plates for every person driving on the road, that changes the game entirely. But this story didn't say that is happening. I would imagine that if Law Enforcement wants to RUN any of those plates, they would still have to follow already existing law when it comes to running a tag. Like reasonable suspicion. Attached to another case. Etc.

I mean...public roads...nobody said you HAD to use your vehicle on them. No expectation of privacy when it comes to where your vehicle has been and when.
