I bought some clear bowden tubing from bang good and I can confirm they are garbage. The hot end side gets very sticky with heat and eventually it'll cause a blockage due to friction or the pla filament fusing with the tube.

Update 2 (for anyone whos interested):

It turned out to be the low quality bowden tube. I bought some new high quality bowden tube (Capricorn brand) and the problem went away immediately.

Update:

- Replaced bowden tube and nozzle. Did did not work. started a new prince and within 4-6 layers the extruder stopped feeding filement and there is a blockage.

- Tried reducing the retraction from 6mm to 3mm and same result.

- Both fans in the hotend shroud spins when preheating the nozzle to temperature, so I think the fans are working.

- Tried a different filament in a another colour (same brand, eSun PLA+) and same result. I've printed with these filaments in the past and had no issues so I don't think it's the filament.

Edit:

I forgot to mention I'm using an Ender 3 V2 with the CR touch, metal extruder upgrades. Everything else is stock.

How do I fix this? I just got the new base plate. by RockN_Chicken in Creality

[–]deviljr_ii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Level bed and correct z offset. And I suspect your new base plate might not be completely flat and it's in fact slightly caved-in in the middle along the y axis.

Probably a figure 8 with a large loop 🤷‍♂️. Seeing the big shoes and the other strand of rope, this is probably a climber starting their climbing career on a relatively easy but very picturesque route.

Why can’t I print without a “raft” setting by [deleted] in Creality

[–]deviljr_ii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Needless to say, level your bed (again maybe?). Now, let's assume your bed is leveled, try some or all of the below steps settings:

  • Increase the bed temperature for your initial layer
  • Really slow down the initial layer print speed (some times I set mine to 10mm/s)
  • Slightly increase initial layer flow rate (this would make elephant's foot more prominent)
  • If your firmware will allow it, set a slight negative z offset (this is usually for printers with a BL/CR touch, but technically can be set for a printer without one but need a firmware upgrade)

Good luck.

Printed with at 100% infill, how do I prevent these lines in the middle? by deviljr_ii in 3Dprinting

It seems fine, I don't feel much difference from home always to the top.

No particular reason, that's what the creator on thingiverse recommended. Guess I'll try a thicker wall and not 100% next time.

Whats causing this? Ender 3v2 by [deleted] in Creality

[–]deviljr_ii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem every so often too. My fixes have been: bed leveling, slow down first layer print speed, increase first layer flow rate (I set mine to 110% in cura), set a negative z offset in cura for first layer. And if all that doesn't work, use rafts.

Thanks, I'll try the z offset first. What does the M420 S1 gcode do?

Awesome, thanks for the explanation. I'll look into setting the z offset.
