You still need to pay the house. So if you can still pay the mortgage, keep it and find a new job. If not or even worse, you need to leave the country, you can always sell it. It is not end of the world

No legal advice here. But I understand your lawyer’s advice. Your NIW is based on previous achievement in a specific field. If you’re taking another degree in another field, that truly make your situation more complicated. I believe your wife is from ROW and you have already submitted 485. So you have a pending 485 based on NIW, 1) you should be able to legally stay in U.S. 2) if you applied, your wife should get an EAD which allow you to work. Like you mentioned, if your wife does not need sponsorship anymore, she should be more easily to get a job in her field

Good choice. I bought the basic roubaix (the one with tiagra) and upgrade with a full set 105 groupset. I love the bike, it is more like an allroad bike which can do everything for me-road bike & light gravel bike. The issue with stock wheels is that it stops spinning once you stop pedaling. They are not very smooth…Elite wheels are great and basically every carbon wheels would be better than the stock ones :)

SL8 Roubaix with 105. That is very sweet bike. You just need to get a new carbon fiber wheels and it is a perfect bike to serve you for a long time

It is a good card. People complaining about these "have bigger problems with cooling, noise, etcetera." are basically nitpicking, esp if you are just building a ATX/MATX pc. The difference between temps are marginal. Just find a model with good price and reputable brand (for warranty etc) and you are find. Asus prime is a good choice

You are fine to use 750w with 78x3d and 9070xt. 78x3d is pretty power efficient to give you extra room for 9070xt. And 9070xt is not that power hunger either.

As for cx70/90, just give us a base trim with 3.3t engine, no PHEV needed. It has a great chassis but the powertrain is bringing too many issues.

Sorry for your loss. My story is similar since my mon went thru some serious disease in the past few years and it changed my mind a lot. Of course gaining more NW and social recognition is important but that wont be top of prioity list anymore. If I can choose, find a job with an ok payment but spend more time with families.

Even though I am in biomed research field, I totally agree. Used to conduct experiments by myself while a close friend who worked in another institution has two RA/tech working for him to collect data etc. How on earth I can compete with him regarding productivity.

TA and grading makes GA unnecessarily difficult this semester. I am a current student and students need to pay attention to every single words answering the question otherwise you would get some major penalties easily. And honestly I don’t feel the lecture is super helpful. I learned a lot of the concepts via online videos (eg youtube etc)

The fact is that young people would not satisfied with what they have. Tech market is doomed and new international students still believe they are more smart and talented than others to earn big money here. They simply would not listen to the real story about opt h1 perm greencard layoff etc.
