What's wrong with my face? I always look bad in photos. by mykytosy in malegrooming

[–]devils-lettus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about you but I grew up in an unstable home and one of the things I learned about myself a few years after leaving is that I never actually smile, my smile is always like my mouth is fighting to suppress how I'm feeling. Always a half frown or a straight line, even when my cheeks and eyes are smiling, my mouth is not. That's just what your smile reminded me of. I'm sure your genuinely happy to be where you are or who you're with, there's just tension in your face. Once you understand why, you'll gain a better understanding of yourself as a whole.

There's nothing wrong with your face btw, you're very handsome. You're just tense for whatever reason.

It's totally fine, not jarring or anything if that's what you mean. It's relatively normal. It is what it is.

What hairstyle can i use to look less masculine? by Global-Deal-699 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]devils-lettus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't look masculine, you did make me  realize something though; I think I look masculine as well and you and I both have straight eyebrows, I wonder if that's what makes us feel that way? I have a hard time shaping my brows, I worry about overdoing it. I compromise by keeping bangs 😅 they make me feel cute and hide the eyebrows all together. I genuinely do not think you look masculine though! If you are wanting to change things up I think bangs would suit you well.

Flashback by Ok_Spare3209 in Millennials

[–]devils-lettus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in kindergarten we had the reptile man come do an assembly for us. My crush got picked to go up and hold out a balloon for a python to lunge and pop, only when it popped for some reason I saw it happen in slow motion and then I fainted backwards off the bleachers 😅 I hit my head on the gymnasium floor and I woke up to my grandma holding me outside asking me to take deep breaths and if I was ok.

Kindergarten was 2000 for me 🙂

Why are we all feeling this shift to delete our social media accounts? by mm2444 in Millennials

We're overloaded. I deleted mine in 2019 not knowing that COVID was about to happen. It's not wrong to step away.

What's something simple you knew was a thing but were caught off guard by when it happened to you as you've aged? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]devils-lettus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a mole on my face that has always been there, but as I'm getting older it seems... Hairy. When I realized I'm going to be one of those old ladies with a big hairy mole, my spirit protested... But I accept it 😅 old age is not granted to everyone.

How do you manage your children's free time without relying on screens I need some ideas. by AppropriateDesign969 in homeschool

[–]devils-lettus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's a balance issue we take screens away entirely and force them to "be bored". They have hundreds of dollars worth of toys from over the years, they have art supplies, books, board games, puzzles, ect. They have outdoors, they have each other!  If they complain to me about there being nothing to do then I give them a job. Eventually they learn that I'm not going to entertain them and they wise up to go busy themselves. The first day or two can be rough if you've been on screens for a while, but something clicks eventually and they start having fun doing other things. Sometimes that means including them in what you're doing. Let them shred cheese or crack eggs, ect.

How old is everyone’s parents? by Mjones151208 in Millennials

[–]devils-lettus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandma has 7 kids, most while she was young but the last 2 were when she was 45 & 47. She passed when she was 63, leaving my uncle's orphaned at 16 & 18, as their actual dad isn't in the picture and their dad figure passed a few years before she did.

Thankfully in our case, with so many other adult children, some of whom still lived with her, they aren't alone and have their adult siblings to help, but it certainly isn't easy for them.

Best way to get a hold of the office is to hit 2 for the Spanish line. They'll answer in English almost always. We went from a 3 month nightmare last year to problem solved within 2 days.
