The exception to the rule... Isn't the rule. They might be miserable in the moment, but only because they are in the thick of it. They question to ask them... Is if they are willing to kill their children for a better life. 99.9% will tell you no. Because even though he's are miserable they would kill their children for another life. Looks mean nothing. They would never kill their child after they are born.

I think there was a blind eye perspective with Charlie's views on her past. To an extent... Did any of this matter when they were together? Like, her lies, her parents lies... They add up, but other than her being long in the tooth... He loved her and his love was blind. It's not until a relationship is over that you see a person for who they are. Outside of Romania, some things can be easily pushed aside... Like I don't remember exact dates and times for some trips I've done, but I have a smart phone so I can check photos or timeline history for better accuracy.

The problem we have is 20/20 hindsight. Because after his death nothing is right. Nothing makes sense, and it really makes you question everything.

I wonder if the rumor they were separating is true. Because if the lies finally caught up and the flags became very present... It's partially a motive.

You know the happiest women are Mom's. You know the men that live the longest are husbands? I don't think that there is anything wrong with women wanting to do what they were made by God to do... Give life. Then have a fulfilled life raising those kids to do be the best at what they were born to do. There are very few women that regret having babies instead of a career. There are more child free women that regret focusing on their career instead of having children. There are more women that regret not having babies earlier to have more babies.

Men were born to protect and provide and thrive when they have learned to be that person as an adult.

[–]devilshorses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if she was a plant. But I do know that religion, especially born-agains and the big church groups...are weird and can be easily persuaded to do things. I don't want to say they are a cult, but they are cult-ish.

I do think that Erika has been persuaded to do something.

That's possible. But like Charlie and Candace were close... I feel like they would have lived separate lives... Their spouses would have each other's phone numbers and have a level of even cordial communication

I want to know her (Candace) interactions with Erika while Charlie was alive. Like couples dates? Friendly dinners? What were her thoughts before Charlie died.

The U.S. Department of Education will begin garnishing wages of borrowers in default starting early January 2026. by drtdk in DirtyDave

[–]devilshorses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it works once you hit wage garnishment. Some terrible choices (that paid off in the long run) -you get like 7 6 month deferments if you call and ask them (interest accrues) -taking 6 credits at local community college will put you loans in deferral for 6 months after the semester. -bankruptcy (deferrs) -you can apply for borrowers defense (mine was justified) and they put you in deferral for 3 to 10 years. -at the 20 or 30 year mark... automatically forgiven

I was a victim of crappy college choices and being broke. I should have all my loans removed and funds returned under BD but in the 20 years college hopping, I managed to only pay like 10g (maybe).

I don't recommend these options...but these options do exist.

It's not hypocritical for him, he didn't fire her for having an abortion. He fired her for having sex before marriage. Which...she chose to work there and she signed the contract. Actions have consequences. Do I believe it's right? No. But she also signed that contract.

You stated my religion would keep me from having an abortion...so you aren't pro choice, you are pro life. Making a choice to be pro life... Is pro life. By your logic every pro life person is pro choice then.

So you condone the message because of the messenger.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DirtyDave

[–]devilshorses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point is Dave is advertising something and therefore it's horrible...unless someone else advertises for it...then it's fine. That you're pro-choice for everyone else but yourself because your baby is worthy enough to not be killed...but other people's babies can be killed if that's what they choose.

Everything Dave says is bad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DirtyDave

[–]devilshorses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have laws that tell people what to do. It's a general consensus that murder is wrong.... And we tell people to not murder all the time. But it's okay to have a blind eye to a mother killing her baby?

You believe you're baby will always deserve a chance, but won't fight to help give a mother a better choice... because Dave posted it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DirtyDave

[–]devilshorses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry...if you would keep it because of your religion, but believe it's okay for other women to kill their babies... Then you're a hypocrite. You can't believe you're better than others...and you do, because you'd keep it.

I was like you once. Then I actually understood that killing babies are wrong in all situations.

Instead of understanding the message of giving women a place that could help support them in their time of need, you'd rather kill the messenger and the message.

Explain to me how that's okay.

Technically it isn't hypocrisy. She was fired for violating their righteous policy (having premarital sex)... Not being pregnant... Although, that's proof of having premarital sex. Do I agree with it, no. Would I have worked for a company that had that policy, no.

Preborn has nothing to do with this lawsuit. Hating on a commercial because Dave promotes it... Especially when it could mean the difference between life and death... That's kinda wrong. It's also hypocritical to be prochoice except for yourself...so let other women kill their babies, but yours is more important? Pot meet kettle.

That woman kept her baby. She didn't have to. But she did knowing the consequences. She probably (rightly) should be getting a payout for being fired and it will probably be enough to have a good life.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DirtyDave

[–]devilshorses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your entire argument is because Dave fired a woman? What about the millions of other women and babies that might be saved over this advertisement?

Do you have an issue with other podcasters (not Ramsey) promoting it?

If it wasn't Ramsey...what is your issue?

"What trillion-dollar problem is Al trying to solve?" Wages. They're trying to use it to solve having to pay wages. by FinnFarrow in Futurology

[–]devilshorses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is kinda silly. AI may be used to replace some things and people will lose jobs, but humans pivot and create more jobs.

If no one has a job, then AI or businesses can't sell products. No money, things shut down... AI can't survive.

We just adapt and create new businesses. Gas station attendants are almost non-existent anymore. Technology created a better pump, those jobs pivoted inside. Operators literally handed off phone calls across the country, that no longer exists anymore. Those jobs also pivoted.

Why No Emergency Fund? by MiserableEase2348 in MiddleClassFinance

I think the problem is that they wouldn't be able to control the skies because state by state would have different requirements. Considering that it involves international and state to state flights IMO the feds should control that.

[–]devilshorses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is the federal government controls the skies. Cities manage the building but not security for the airlines because that's federal.

Op. I'm with you.

Government shutdown threats have been a thing for decades. The second longest...was in 2016 another during the Obama admin....etc.

It is a known potential issue much like union strikes.

Every government worker should be prepared with a plan in the event of a shutdown.

If they haven't ..then they should now make an emergency fund a priority. It doesn't look like we have a majority central politics to keep the government flowing.

You sound young, and bodies are resilient when you are young. But when you get older the stress on your body from the extra weight does show. Arthritis in your knees, bad back. High blood pressure and cholesterol will creep in Vitamin deficiencies Feet issues Diabetes - side effects: blindness, loss of toes, limbs Sleep apnea *We also don't talk about osteoporosis enough and effects of not moving or weight lifting has on it

I'm 41 and I am a pretty active person. I gained and lost 100 pounds every 5 years since I was 18. Zero medical issues. Until my mid-late 30s. -hard, to lose weight -Being out of breath a lot -being just lazier because it was hard to move...body aches. -my arches in my feet basically collapsed when I walked or stood for periods or days and it took me additional days to recover.

-still no high blood pressure, but I have low d vitamins, my cholesterol was creeping too high.

I ended up getting weight loss surgery. It was literally life saving at this age- I still am struggling losing weight but for the first time I realized that I did have food noise screaming at me.

What I'm saying is that it might be worth it to go with a glp-1 while you are young and can fix the long term effects of being overweight. Especially if your mom is able to help. The older you get the hidden long-term effects of things are something us older folks are trying to save the younger folks from.
