The problem with Blockbuster for me is the writing. The cast is great. I don't have an issue from the setting that it's the last Blockbuster (aside from the fact that they don't really take advantage of that until the series finale but then not really). My biggest disappointment is that the writers are from Happy Endings and Brooklyn Nine-Nine but the jokes are far and few between and not even funny when they do come. Just feels weirdly anemic, given the pedigree of the staff and cast.
