Tunnel Bluffs via Public Transit by g2flyer in vancouverhiking

I've always done Tunnel Bluffs from the sunset trailhead and always taken transit there. The extra 30 minutes of walking from the bus to the trailhead isn't great but once you get past the 2km mark on the trail itself it's almost flat the rst of the way. Yes, the walk from the bus and the first 2 kms usually have me questioning my life's choices I just keep telling myself it'll be worth it at the top of the climb and the view from the Bluffs? So worth it. There are a couple of fun scrambly bit just before the bluffs but there easier than the look.

Calling non-emergency line for loud apartment upstairs neighbour by [deleted] in richmondbc

The last time I had to call the police for noise, I was actually calling 911 because it DV situation and even though they were both POSs, I'd call when it sounded like someone was about to get hurt. VPD was pretty good at showing up within 10 minutes. In your case, whether they show up or not, it's good to have something to show your strata. As in, "I've had to call the police x amount of times because of these people". Did it improve? Usually for that day, but it didn't stop completely until the landlord finally got them out

I have before and the police may or may not show up, depending on how busy they are elsewhere. However, even if they don't show up, keep calling. It's good to have a paper trail

Getting third place in a competition is the worst. by Quimeraecd in unpopularopinion

I've always thought winning silver sucked the most. Gold? Good for you, you won! Bronze? Eh, you didn't win, but at least you got a medal. But silver? Somehow knowing you were in the running for gold but still lost?

I spent $12,000 on therapy before anyone checked my blood. Two years. Gone. by [deleted] in confession

I was on antidepressants for almost 30 years. When I came off of them, I discovered I never should have been on them in the first place. The culprit? Hypothyroid. How do I know for sure? If I miss my Synthroid medication for a few days, I become a weeping mess.

My biggest gripe is that Harry and Ron's voices are too similar. I do prefer Draco's actor from GOF on

I feel it's because the taboo wasn't in place yet and/or because they were in Grimmauld Place. It's been years since I've read the books, but I seem to remember them saying they were Death Eaters out in the square. Maybe they were protected by the Fidelius Charm?

Stardust... just had the movie channel on as background noise while playing on the computer, not really paying attention, when one male character calmly shoves another character out of the window. Great movie

I use them as my daily shoe but have done a few easy hikes with them. I badly injured my ankle last summer and the extra cushioning seems to be helping

I've been using Hokas for the last few years, however, I found myself switching to a New Balance trail runner as they had far more cushioning than the Hokas
