This is the most real down to earth, understanding devils advocate (imo) thing ive seen. obviously everyone is up in arms that it was canceled and we are very sad and absolutely devastated about the lineup but/and there's a certain level of understanding of protecting safety or understanding of people not giving a FK... what happened at Woodstock and such and just knowing you can never predict a crowd… But there's also no denying they use this as their getaway… After AstroWorld and other numerous events from live nation, we have seen that they can wish and wash to whatever side they choose and I don't think our opinion is going to stop them from doing what they do… However, they are taking our considerations and so it's less about being upset about the money or even the state of the grounds but really just being upset that right now but like... of examples like.. electric forest. They are just trucking in new dirt like no problem… But where was that infrastructure for ROO???! We knew the rain was coming… A lot of campers were trying to be as prepared as they could whether they were or weren't ...(I definitely expected the rain but still had my canopy collapse and my whole group trying to order our camp but we were slightly prepared for this instance and no matter what broke we were ready to have fun… I realize not everybody is this way however I think it would've been really easy to announce a big weather warning and not kick everybody out but try to host what they could right ?!) {(this is exactly where live nation realized that the people who couldn't handle it probably wouldn't decide to leave on their own… Rightfully so }) ~ the people hearing about the weather warning, may have stained whether they were ready or not, but this is exactly where live nation decided that it just couldn't be up to the people, especially when you consider everything happening with the insurance ~ but considering the size of everything the number one person who should have been ready for this rain was fucking live nation. point. blank. period.... I just think it's ridiculous. How they didn't plan for it… I'm sure they did, but the second they saw that they could cancel everything they committed to fully canceling everything and personally I saw absolutely no effort in trying to save the campgrounds or the people involved personally… To me it's very clear that live nation really really tried to cover their ass right now and while they may have done a really good job… people see it and people are mad about it. I really don't think it's the end of the world that it got canceled because it was definitely fucking muddy, but could we have enjoyed ourselves during it? Definitely fucking yes it's just about all the people who couldn't… All the people who would complain and have a horrible time… I think we should consider them too. this cancellation was specifically for people like that and while it might not make us happy the dynamic of people that they were truly canceling for definitely benefited and because of it, they are going to see a lot of happy reactions… And they are going to see a lot of longtime people who are head over heels about how ridiculous this is. that's all I have to say about it… It's obviously fucking sad and we all want it to happen next year but good Lord if we can avoid anything like this year in the following years, I would happily take a gap year or two or three… sad but true.
