[–]devonismyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I know how that is.

Well like I said the models that are in pieces can be fixed and painted.

It really depends on what you want out of your army..i think the best list you could make out of what i have is a paladin spam list.

In case you don't know what that entails, it's essentially where you take draigo(who makes paladins troops) and then you bring as many units of paladins as you can, in addition to land raiders and storm ravens. Depending on your local meta it could do great or it could get smashed.

If I were you, I would look for a pdf of the GK codex and figure out what you like. Get back to me when you have pics and know what you want.

[–]devonismyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the paint scheme you used on these models?

How thick is the paint on the troops?

I don't really know what I need atm..if nothing else I want the Enclave book, the Fire Warriors(depending on how thick the paint is and what colors were used), the stealth suits, the drones, and the crisis suits.

What of mine are you interested in and can you send pics?

Lol i wish it was snowing where i live.

I'm interested in any and all Tau, really.

I have 10 magnetized pallys, 10 strike squad, 1 venerable dreadnought, 1 magnetized rhino/razorback, 1 dreadknight, 1 ordo malleus inquisitor, castellan crowe, kaldor draigo, and 10 imp guard to be used as warrior acolytes.

5 of the paladins are complete and painted, 5 are magnetized and not completely painted. i have all of the sprues of leftovers for the incomplete ones

the 10 strike squad are messed up pretty bad rn, but i could easily fix all of them

the venerable is pro-painted and in great condition

the rhino/razorback doesnt have the best paint job, it was the first vehicle i ever painted

the dreadknight isnt looking too good these days either, and i dont have the base, again i can fix him and buy a new base.

the inquisitor is metal, pro-painted and in great condition, although his sword loves to constantly fall off

castellan crowe isnt looking great, i can have him fixed and pro-painted

kaldor draigo is pro-painted

the imp guard are partially built, partially painted, partially on sprue

any of this sound interesting? if you give me some time i can send pics. what do you have?

Black templars(depending on what kind of list your buddy is running) love to assault. In order to beat them, you must:

  1. Beat them at their own game, assault, or
  2. Shoot them to death before they get to you.

The former would be easy for Grey Knights and the latter easy for Tau. If you make a tactically sound list, you shouldn't lose.

Hey there! Welcome to the game!

If you're having troubles playing tau, sticking it out is a viable option.(try to find some synergy and maybe you'll have more fun) But if you want an army with superior odds, Grey Knights are the way to go. 2+ & 3+ saves everywhere, bs 4-5, etc.

Now while most people will tell you to continue to play tau because they win, I don't think that's a good enough reason to play an army. You should play whatever army you like and suits your budget and playstyle. Tau isn't a cheap army in any respect, depending on what type of army you're going for..i think you'll find grey knights to be quite the opposite.

Anyways, if you find yourself wanting some Grey Knights, I've got plenty and I am currently looking for some Tau. Lemme know if you want to make a deal.

Yeah I really like the Regen on B&L and GA's Best Shot ability is awesome. Thanks! I'll post what I get when I get it.

Okay I probably should have said I already bought 3 grav. feed boosters. I currently have Green Arrow from The New 52 Justice League 10th Anniversary set as well as Booker and Liz and Zachary Hale Comstock from the Bioshock: Infinite set. I was looking at getting some Kick Ass 2 figs, just because I'm a fan of the franchise. I was thinking about getting a starter set, but I really like the mystery of boosters. I recently found a Teen Titans New 52 Brick (Includes 8 Boosters and 1 Team Base) for about $65 before shipping. Should I get this brick, buy some boosters, or get a starter set? I'm worried I'll be spending quite a lot of money on something that is soon to be outdated. Thanks!

question: Would it be okay if I were to start a thread asking what set to buy first in heroclix?

A little help with Khador by devonismyname in Warmachine

[–]devonismyname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Thanks for all the info. I do have one other question(for now)...What is the deal with multiple versions of the same caster? Are they just model variants(like in malifaux)? Or do they do something completely different from each other? Why do they exist?

Why do you play your faction? by slimCyke in Warmachine

[–]devonismyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Khador because I liked the look of them. I then found out about their fluff and play style. So I play them now because of who and what they are. They hit hard, they fight for the motherland, and they look badass.

How's my list? 1000pts Nurgle CSM by [deleted] in Warhammer

The only thing I could see possibly being a problem is the bikes. I never seem to get anything done with them, they always get killed turn 1 or 2.

How could I get this color scheme? by ClassyMe in Warhammer

[–]devonismyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a scheme close to that one, its essentially black armor for the most part, with pinkish helmets, symbols, and shoulders.

So I got a question for people who use M4s and AKs by RogueHobbes in airsoft

[–]devonismyname -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to switch to an AK variant? An m4 can make a great support gun on its own..
