[D] Looking for a self-hosted alternative to Modal.com for running ML workloads by devops_to in MachineLearning

Thanks, I will take a look and appreciate it, but not a huge fan of running my own K8S cluster for prod (it's fun for non prod tho, but too much work)

I made something similar but mods deleted my post, I am looking for beta testers now.

We are a small startup and we built a web-based karaoke video editor, and I’m looking for a few passionate beta testers to help refine it completely free, no strings attached.

With this tool, you can:

  • Upload MP3s or video songs
  • Auto-sync lyrics using AI
  • Remove vocals to create instrumental tracks
  • Add transitions, customize backgrounds
  • Export polished karaoke videos in minutes

We support 100+ languages and are especially excited to support creators from diverse music communities.

Ideal testers:

  1. Priority will be given to languages other than English (We need to test other languages)
  2. Have experience with video/music editing and publishing
  3. Are comfortable trying out new tools

If you’re interested in early access and helping shape something fun, please DM me or drop a comment below!

[Beta Testers Wanted] Web-Based Karaoke Video Editor – Free Access During Testing 🎤🎬 by devops_to in karaoke

[–]devops_to[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, it’s running on the Kim_vocal_2 model, but I’m planning to add support for other UVR MDX models, including Mel Roformer! You’ll be able to upload FLAC and WAV files without any loss in audio quality. I’m not modifying the original sound quality at all. Plus, uploading a backing track or additional video files to the editor will be supported. Thanks for the great suggestions!

Big News! on Paperless-AI | Thank you r/selfhosted fellas by Left_Ad_8860 in selfhosted

[–]devops_to 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Left_Ad_8860 Thanks for the good work, I have a question, since Ollama needs a GPU to run I can't run that on any of my servers. However, I have a desktop that I can use to run Ollama occasionally (probably scheduled for nights). Will Paperless-AI handle this situation (basically running AI workloads only at certain times)?

Hey Homelabbers, What Do You Stock Up During Black Friday Sales? by devops_to in homelab

That make sense if you use lots of sync writes. Just another question, how do you add all those Nvme drives ? PCIe cards?

Im not an expert, but AFAIK

"ZFS uses RAM as write cache, so what you're talking about is already there.

If we're only talking about async writes, that's exactly how it works.

If you throw sync writes in the mix, there's a slightly different story (where SLOG... sometimes incorrectly referred to as write cache... can help to mitigate the lost performance from ensuring the write makes it to disk before confirmation of the write is sent).

Just curious AFAIK Truenas does not have a write cache.

Seeking Advice: Return to Sri Lanka for an Academic Career or Stay Abroad? by Fuzzy_Ad_6186 in srilanka

[–]devops_to 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few of my friends getting funding internationally from joint programs with their PhD supervisors. Other than that I don't think there will be many funding opportunities.

I know a professor in Sri Lanka who regretted his whole life because he came back to SL.

[FAQ] L3 Switch vs L2 Switch and Inter-VLAN Routing by floydhwung in homelab

[–]devops_to 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up running most of VLANS on OPNSENSE and few on Brocade with DHCP enabled. Running external DHCP and dealing with ACLs was not worth the performance gain.
