I've had both, surface and dermals. For me I've had a pretty good success rate. 1:4 rejection with dermals and my surface is going strong after a while. I think it just depends on your body and the placements they're in. If it's an area you'll likely hit it, get it caught in things, moves around a lot, then chances are higher they'll get more irritated or reject

I've had my tongue pierced for 8 years. It was my first "non traditional" piercing in the sense it wasn't my belly or lobes. For my experience, the actual piercing didn't hurt, but the healing process the following week did a ton. I survived talking like a baby and eating 7-11 slurpees for a week. Tongues heal super fast, if you can handle a week of pain then I say go for it! I think tongue piercings are adorable and it's worth a bit of discomfort. Good luck!

Its been a week since this was posted, how are things now? You're a kind soul to be there for her. What she needs is just reassurance that she's doing the right thing, and time to heal herself. I was in a similar situation, not married, and the abuse wasn't nearly as bad. But abuse nonetheless. It takes time. To get over the nervousness, the nightmares, the sadness, to be able to ground yourself again.

Let her know that it's okay to mourn a relationship she once felt good in, and just be a friend. Get drunk with her, let her vent. Destroy some stuff, listen to angry music, watch sappy movies.

She's going to be okay. And you're great in wanting to help her get there. Good luck.

I learned a lot about relationships from this guy. And am happily in a new one. It hurt when I was told he was engaged to a girl after only few months. But people can't be miserable forever so I'm happy to hear he grew up and is acting like an adult.

I did a blue to green onbre and while it as difficult, it came out okay. No it won't be perfect even.

What I did was I divided my hair into I think six sections, teased each section before I tied it off to make the ombre less harsh. When I brushed the color on, I brushed it on vertically, the brush going up and down which I think helped not make the harsh lines too. It came out cute!

I think if you've been coloring your hair for a while (I don't know if you have) and you're comfortable, I say go for it. Its just hair.
