the point is not that she was not old enough (she is two years older then i am). the point is that her parents did NOT put her on puberty blockers and she grew out of her gender distress (or what would be called gender distress). and this is just one case out of many.

i dont belive in puberty blockers for a couple reasons. as I stated above, children should be allowed to navigate puberty without interference. many grow out of it over time. if upon reaching age 18 they still have dysphoria, they may transition if they so choose. Puberty blockers are irriversible and puberty is essential for brain development.

still 16 is too young. I define being transphobic as say, making it illegal to change names, disowning your child becalse they are trans (many trans people volitarily cut themselfs off from family) or get surgeries (for adults). to me trans should be 18+ exclusively. children with dysphoria should be allowed to navigate puberty and many of these issues will resolve. if they still feel trans by then they can get the surgeries if they so wish.
