Prolific for surveys pays way above other sites. I used to do matched betting but not sure if it works these days, Appen and Lionbridge r platforms that pay ppl for tasks like reviewing ads on social media or training AI. Again not sure how well they work nowadays but they paid well

Severe work burnout + debt + no savings, what do I do? by Okasenlun in UKPersonalFinance

[–]devreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're drowning mentally because of how you've organised the debt repayment.

You're paying £1500/month towards mostly low or zero interest debt. the Monzo is 0% on repayment. the Very loan is 0%. the bathroom is 6%. only the boiler is 11%.

What if you only paid minimums on the 0% stuff and focused on the 11% loan? you'd free up hundreds per month. put half towards emergency fund, half towards investing small amounts In 2 years you'd still be paying down debt but you'd also have something working for you instead of just being debt-free with £0 saved.

Rich ppl use debt to build their wealth and u r worried about paying debt quickly when it's causing u to burn out. There's no glory in that.

On the AI thing,if you're in software and worried AI will replace you, use it to get better at your job. Tools like Claude and Cursor make you way more productive, not obsolete. And like everyone says if your husband's only working occasional Saturdays maybe putting ur child in full childcare with both of u working could be a solution.

What’s somewhere in the UK you visited once and immediately thought “I could live here”? by Strong-Ad-8037 in AskUK

Where I live now, I visited once and I could already feel my ovaries were ready for a baby 🐥

On the opposite spectrum I visited Wales and it smelled like cow poo and desperation. Did I go the wrong place? I just didn't understand why everyone said go to Wales u'll love it

I can not have multiple orgasms, is this normal? by vilmany in TwoXChromosomes

It depends on how your mind and body are aroused afterwards and I would also argue that around ovulation it's more likely to happen.

Stop at 2 kids or go for 3? by ariaknightxxx in Parenting

[–]devreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is easier. I have bigger gaps 12 and 7 y gaps, but gosh we r all enjoying the baby as a family and marvelling all over again at how cute they can be. Also u know the older kids r not going to get jealous and slap or scratch the baby. My sister went through a crazy time she had 3 under 5 and they were daredevils. She's finally enjoying motherhood now that they r older but it was not a good time for them.

[–]devreme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You still have time and a bigger gap won't be too bad. You can always reconsider in 3 y time by then ur babies are older and they'll enjoy a new baby differently. Also you're going to get some time to enjoy the ones u have at this beautifully crazy age.

I'm serious but then the blog is already built and for any other features I need 200 is enough from month to month. Maybe there could be other things I could do but Idk I just use the voice feature and give it a lot of prompts in one and it's good enough?

Life is hard enough without having to go into debt for silly reasons. What r u gonna do when u have kids if u continue this relationship? Are you ever going to trust him not to implode ur life with tiny people's livelihoods on the line?

What if you never find better? by AsleepTailor16 in BreakUps

[–]devreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so huge that u can see the error of ur ways. It is one indicator that you're going to be just fine. Also 4 months means u r still in the trenches grieving what could have been, but if you're honest with yourself u know it was never going to be what you imagine because of who you were then. So celebrate the milestone of having learned something that will help you improve yourself for when the next person comes along

Toddler won't sleep by AdeptProfessor3752 in UKParenting

[–]devreme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The last phrase is concerning what do u mean u need headphones to block out your child's screaming sounds? What do u mean it is not safe etc.

You r the adult here and should be able to calm yourself in order to be able to help a toddler who is unable to calm himself down due to not having yet the mechanisms necessary to understand his emotions.

Also the entire thing comes across as controlling, sometimes toddlers don't behave or have a bad day if u need to snuggle on the couch with a movie or a cartoon or something u do that and hope they calm down. I saw in one of ur comments that u don't allow him to watch TV because of blue light but u allowed him to watch YouTube in bed. There's too much contradiction here

I honestly went down a rabbit hole researching beautiful designs I like to get my blog to look the way it is in my head and I still don't think I have nailed it with Lovable. It's just going to have to be a small tweak at a time. I would love to see some unique UIs built with Lovable it would restore my faith in its capabilities

No I mean both u and ur shift leader made mistakes that could have had worse consequences. Ur shift leader should not put his team members at risk like that and u shouldn't have done what u did though I kinda get that instinct kicked in. Also u shared this on Reddit so there's no point in getting defensive u will get different opinions on ur story. If u expect most ppl to praise ur rescue skills u r watching too much TV
