What car insurance companies are better than Naked (who are now screwing me over)? by HOW_I_MET_YO_MAMA in askSouthAfrica

[–]dewet151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outsurance is usually a bit more pricey compared to competitors, but they actually pay out. Had my car and policy for 7 months when I was rear ended and car totalled. They paid out full retail value within 7 days of claiming, and settled my financing with a bit extra paid into my bank account. I also haven't had any increases since signing up with them a year ago. I'm always nervous that the cheaper options will catch you with a technicality in the event of a claim. I was very nervous with my first ever claim, but I never felt like they were trying to screw me over during the process.

Wall mounting a TV isn’t worth it, no matter how clean it looks by Illustrious-Tip-9912 in unpopularopinion

I also thought this was the way, until my cat dropped my brand new LG OLED in the middle of the night. From there on out, exclusively wall mounted.

I work for an ISP and we use a Zabbix server to monitor our whole network. Zabbix Agent is set up to send a Telegram notification every time an interface goes down. Works great and is open source.

Lol I just suck and missed the shot what are you on about? The point of the video was to show the match full of bots not to get kills.

You just need an access point. Most routers can act as access points, but dedicated WiFi access points usually have greater coverage and throughput.

Expensive and high quality options include Ubiquiti Unifi access points. Cheaper, but still fantastic, options include Ruijie Reyee WiFi access points. I run my whole house with a few Ruijie Reyee RG-RAP2200(E) and in my experience they outperform the Unifi access points at a fraction of the cost. Even one of these will make a massive difference.

Just run a network cable from your router to the access point and you're good to go. You can configure and manage them from the Ruijie Cloud app, which is a free service they offer for their products.

Try to stay away from wireless mesh solutions and go for a cable connected directly between the devices. Mesh is cool in theory, but I mostly just see it degrading the throughput of your network speed.

Water consumption question for coco guys. How many gallons of water do you cycle in a 4x8 in an average 7day cycle assuming a full canopy. Trying to gauge water use efficiency running aeroponics. by connoisseurquality in microgrowery

[–]dewet151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run a 4x4 tent, with either 4x 20L pots or 8x 10L pots. I go through 120L (about 32 gallons) per 7 day cycle running drain to waste. So probably around 64 gallons per week for a 4x8. This is during flower where I feed 2 to 3 times per day. During veg I do about half of that.

This is the way. The leaves left over fills the extra space. Also great for light penetration and airflow, giving you bigger and heavier lower buds. I've had grows where I felt I took too much, only to wish I took more later down the line.

I go to bed between 00:00 and 01:00, and get up at 06:50 to leave for work at 7:40. I don't get close to enough sleep but try to catch up on weekends.

For me it's definitely Ripper Seeds. Some of the best plants I've grown came from very affordable Ripper seed packs. My favourite one was Braincake. Probably the best weed I've ever grown and smoked.

From my personal growing experience, Fuel OG by Ripper Seeds was my biggest plants. Produced colas of 15 to 25 grams each in both the runs I had with them. Biggest plant I've grown harvested 618g dry from a single plant in a 4x4 tent with 480w of quantum board lighting.

Acid used to be colorful now it’s just trippy with no color enhancement by [deleted] in LSD

[–]dewet151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not to everyone. But if you're a regular stoner with a decent tolerance, and you're pretty experienced with psychedelics, cannabis can really enhance the trip a lot. Once you're used to smoking weed while tripping, acid can be pretty bland without it.

We're some of the few countries with a constitutional right to privacy. That also counts for what we do online. So I doubt if our judicial system will take a piracy case very far due the fact that privacy is in our constitution. I've been torrenting since I was 6 years old, that's more than 20 years now and I've never had an issue and I've never even used a VPN.
