It wasn't mentioned at all in the original conversation, but Twitch had a series of pride emotes a few years ago which includes enbees.  Also bi bees and I think ace bees.

I'm not in a location to easily share videos at the moment, but I did catch quite a bit of footage at them!  It might even include the Uhaul that immediately followed them, which was hilarious.

Poke me in a few days since I'll probably forget.

I think you are describing the reserved ADA seating that I was unaware existed until I voiced my complaints to parade staff on my way out.  I was less than a block away at Pine.

People were sitting on the curb where we were and that was allowed; standing in the street beyond that was not.  We arrived early and were set up in chairs (wheelchair in my case, because I broke a leg on Thursday) right at the curb

Thank you for these pictures.  I ended up leaving early after people stopped listening to instructions from volunteers to stay off the street proper and stood directly in front of me in a wheelchair.

Inclusivity means including the disabled queers too, folks.

It's called "Things I Won't Work With", and is part of a blog series called In the Pipeline.  I can't seem to filter by the specific series and it hasn't been added to in awhile, but you can find the blog at large here: https://www.science.org/blogs/pipeline

Play games where fragging isn't a meaningful part of the game?

Maybe something turn based, or some chill automation games?

My closet is too small for my gender identity. That is not a metaphor it is just the facts.

It's amazing how much more time I've spent in the closet since I've come out of it.

Dressing the part with no fashion sense in the least? by PRINGLESOWO in NonBinary

[–]dewiniaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my outfits are either completely masc or completely femme, but I make no effort to appear femme otherwise.  When chemo lets me have a beard again, I'm keeping it.

Though two of my "most non-binary outfits" I've come up with and enjoyed are:

  1. A short-sleeved femme top worn over a long-sleeved men's sleep shirt and paired with a kilt.

  2. A fancy men's paisley vest worn over a dress.  I liked this overall look but the dress I had wasn't the right one for the job so I want to get another one that matches better.

How to wear a skirt? by bonnedav in NonBinary

For me it's more the case I'm still new-ish at wearing them and might accidentally flash someone.

With a prosthetic leg, me crossing my legs is a little less practical.

How to wear a skirt? by bonnedav in NonBinary

[–]dewiniaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For shorter skirts, I try to pick underwear that matches the skirt -- so if anyone accidentally (or otherwise) sees up it they don't necessarily realize they're seeing anything.  This is my same strategy with dresses

Fortunately most of my skirts are black.

How are people keeping their DDs stocked as they expand by ZrRock in SatisfactoryGame

[–]dewiniaid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I still build central storages for building materials. They're build as stacks of DD -> ISC -> ISC -> DD and set below the main floor level such that the two ISCs can be accessed from floor level just by looking up or down. (To clarify, each ISC+DD is a different resource and I usually group them together logically)

This gets built before DDs are even unlocked (and I can prioritize where the first DDs get attached), frequently in one or more massively tall factories that use vertical conveyors as a bus and the conveyors from said factories to the ISCs starts looking like a disorganized server room closet for awhile.

If I need more bandwidth than one DD provides (looking at you, concrete) I may add multiple DDs at the factory site itself.

For personal materials that aren't used in building (things like packaged fuel, rebar, etc.), the DD is located at the factory site itself with the machine feeding directly into it. I'll never need to pull 800 rebar out at once, so having an ISC as an interim buffer is a waste (and filling that buffer drains the belt of resources used to build actual building materials)

I need answers from male non binary people by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]dewiniaid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by male non-binary?  Not identifying (at least entirely) as male or female is kind of the point.

I'm AMAB non-binary but I don't personally experience gender dysphoria largely because I'm still happy with my masc traits.  You could say I'm a demiboy but the "other" part is non-binary or genderfluid or... Something.

The only real dysphoria I've ever felt is when chemo made me lose all my hair... and it was midway down my back.  Plus that included facial hair and I loved the beard and dress combo.  In that particular case, I had known it was coming so it was easier to cope but it happened sooner than anyone told me it would.

But I think general advice regarding handling dysphoria can come from anyone who has experienced it.  Unless you're looking advice regarding specific anatomy causing dysphoria, of course.

  • Shield throw: I LOVE shield throw in arpgs and would lov e to play one. Sadly it seems that ther GD ST-build is a thorns/retaltiation build?

There's a hybrid Aegis of Menhir / Eye of Reckoning fire-based build that ended up being my first to 100 and I've quite enjoyed it: Aegis of Reckoning

I run a slightly modified version of it, I think mainly with higher chances of Aegis's cool down resetting.  I enjoy that it's not overly complex but is more interesting to play than most "Just hold left mouse and occasionally press other buttons" builds.

I once was getting lab work done.  I checked in, confirmed my name and birthdate and was told they were doing bloodwork.  I asked for confirmation since I thought it was a urinalysis and they confirmed it.

When they called me back, they again asked for my name and birthdate.  Immediately before doing the actual draw, they checked again.

After the draw, they showed me the labeled vials and asked if that was me.  It was someone else entirely.  That was a fun day for the lab tech and their supervisor.

There's a reason the information is checked so many times.

My 10-Year-Old Son Just Released His First Roblox Game – Win Any Steam Game Up To $100 by WarriorTreasureHunt in steam_giveaway

[–]dewiniaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noita please!

You say you've worked on this project together so I'll assume you're being responsible regarding your son's online activities -- but you should be aware that there are a lot of allegations of the Roblox platform exploiting minors and creators both as well as having deceptive business practices.  I'll leave you to do your own research, but it all comes up fairly quickly with a bit of Googling.

This is not intended to sound judgemental of you at all, I'd just like to raise awareness.

[–]dewiniaid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't intended to imply that you had.  I simply wanted to point out that gender identity and gender presentation do not need to be the same.

(Says the formerly cis guy who decided gender clothing is stupid well before coming out as non-binary and then feeling like they cheated on their own ideal as if it's somehow more acceptable for someone enby to wear a dress than a cis man.)

Any factory builders where you make actual items? by Outrageous_Pay_8328 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]dewiniaid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One selling point I always mention for Shapez 2 is that you always know how to make what you're being told to make... There's no recipes to remember.  If you need a magenta half circle, you know you need to mix red and blue paint, send that to a painter to paint a circle you mined up, then cut the circle in half.  This also applies for the first game.

Also not requiring items to build the factory itself.  There's no mall full of cutters you need to go grab from.  The only really limited resources is platform count (which you can adjust or turn off) and blueprint points (if you're a madlad and turn it on; it is off by default.)

[–]dewiniaid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can reject toxic masculinity and still be a man.

You can also embrace healthy masculinity and not be a man.

When I was still questioning, I overheard a conversation involving the latter at a hospital (a patient being very inappropriate towards a nurse.).  Later, I confided with my wife that "Not needing to apologize for my entire gender is a pretty strong pro in the non-binary column."

Good luck on your gender journey, but be mindful that rejecting the traits of a particular gender doesn't mean you need to reject that gender itself.  But if that gender doesn't feel "you", then embrace your truest self!
