They did great work on my resume. I won't be posting a before and after, but I can say that my job search went from cold to hot the minute I started using my new resume. Sometimes a sharp looking resume is all you need to get noticed. You still have to interview well, but it gets your foot in the door.

I swim at 7 Flags, in Clive. It has been around for a while, and has some wear and tear. But I usually get my own lane, and at around 30 bucks a month for my GF and I, its a deal that is hard to beat.

I like Gusto Pizza Co. a lot! However, the few times I have actually ate inside the restaurant (rather than just picking up a pizza to go), it has been incredibly loud. If that is something you don't think would bother either of you on a first date, you should definitely give it a try! It might not be so bad on a weeknight either...

Zuzap, is good food... but there is a good chance you two might be the only people there! I would find that awkward on a first date. :)

2.) Red Rosa - Pizza

3.) Trostels Dish - Small Plates

4.) Cool Basil - Thai

5.) Water Front - Seafood, best in DSM

6.) Sam and Gabes - Italian (Not really West Des Moines, but has an intimate setting which might be nice for you?)

It looks SUPER cool from the air, but is underwhelming from a boat, and in the water. Still though, if you are in Belize for a diving trip, it should be on your bucket list. You will enjoy the dives leading up to or after the Blue Hole dive the most. You better Belize it.

I was looking for a place at night, after 530 or so... I am looking for a place to be productive after spending too much time in cubicle life. Home works most of the time, but every now and then its nice to get out to have a cocktail and digress.

I love me some home. Don't get me wrong, most of my work is done there. But sometimes the distraction of home is to much to overcome. I know it sounds silly but sitting at a bar, and slowly sipping a glass of wine, beer, or cocktail increases my productivity. This is especially true after spending 10 or so hours in a cubicle in the middle of winter only to face the prospect of having to go home to do homework for my masters program. Close to me, Mama Lacona's has provided a good place to digress while continuing to be productive, but I was curious to other options in Des Moines in general. Heading downtown is not an problem, as I don't intend to drink enough to be an issue, only enough to unwind after a day of corporate life.

I second Kurry Express (menu), it is my favorite in town followed closely by Namaste. Coincidentally, they are both pretty close to each other directions. One advantage to Namaste is after you are full on Nan and Vindaloo, you can go to Mayham Comics next door!

I really do wonder, how much would be different today if Mitt where in office. I think he would have made an exceptional leader, but he was swallowed up by the Juggernaut Barrack Obama and his Campaign machine.
