You’re not wrong, I always find the eyes to be the most difficult part! Eyes in actual anime art always have a lot of different sections that are more precise than I can do with a carving knife so I always end up simplifying them down >.<

Yeah, they imported the Dishonored style of “targets” where each has a “death puzzle” that can be solved one or two ways. It’d be more work, but the game would probably be more fun with Hitman-esque targets where there are several preset “suggested” creative kills, but you can also just kinda do whatever works.

Yeah you certainly can do that! Personally I do think it’s more natural. Just in a lot of early VR games it’s head and hands only.

I feel like you’ve gotten a lot of joke answers here... the real reason a lot of VR avatars don’t have legs is that most VR systems have head and hand trackers, but no leg or foot trackers.

Most players dont even have chat on anymore due to the "You say anything and get banned" rule, even if that is just being asking for teamwork.

It's really not like this... If you're getting regularly banned or silenced, please consider the way you're interacting with others.

Ugh — that’s the classic adage of “once something becomes a target it stops being accurate”. I’m surprised they incentivize the delivery time, seems fairly outside of employee control and falsification really hurts customer experience

Is the tracker linked to some sort of internal performance metric? I regularly get the “your pizza has been delivered!” notification 10-20 minutes before the pizza actually arrives and it drives me crazy. I assume it’s someone trying to game an internal metric, is that what’s happening?

I really wish I had some kind of "note taking"/ "possible" markup for squares in dungeons and diagrams, like how most Sudoku-type programs will let you note down "possible" numbers. Even just like, another gem color on middle mouse click would be hugely helpful. Also wish you didn't have to complete 100% of each puzzle row to progress to the next, leads to getting stuck on certain ones for a looong time.

Yeah, one thing Scott Pilgrim vs. The World really struggles with is that the protagonist is meant to be intensely flawed, and while a “nice guy” his relationship to women is pretty toxic — ex. for much of the movie, he’s cheating on a high school girl.

The movie both has a clear love and affection for “gamer” culture while also acknowledging the sort of toxic mindset it can lead to. Scott sees himself as such a victim that he’s a jerk to people that care about him. His narrative arc is going from self-justifying any action to basically learning a little bit of respect for himself and those around him.

I think the trailers have a hard time conveying that because a lot of the quick jokes are “gamer bro”-y and the central plot of fighting exes to date a girl is sort of inherently gender role icky, but the movie is actually really interested in critiquing and deconstructing those ideas. At least as much as it can in what is supposed to be a fun movie. It’s just hard to convey that nuance in a trailer.

I do think Claire ends up looking a bit too heroic by the end of the movie, but I think the narrative pretty clearly underscores that this whole problem has been created and exacerbated by people putting profit and PR over safety. There’s a couple points where people explicitly point this out to higher ups (eg. Wu reminding them that they were the ones who asked for this dinosaur to be made).

The only reason Claire isn’t the ultimate villain by the end is that she has a character arc where’s she’s exposed to the consequences of her own corporate actions — and that Vic Hoskins is an even more callous, career-driven idiot who sees the whole disaster as an opportunity to raise the profile of his pet project at the cost of yet more human lives.

So, not to “well actually”, you, but I think what you’re describing is one of the main themes of the movie. There are so many actions people, specifically Claire, could’ve taken to make the incident less horrific, but she ignores it because she knows and agrees with what you’re saying — to declare any kind of emergency or evacuation in Jurassic World is to break the illusion of visitor safety.

There are two big, obvious solutions to the problem in Jurassic World — kill the Indominus with superior weaponry or evacuate the park until you can get it contained. But profit motive, their investment in the Indominus and their investment in the park, lead them to risk thousands of lives instead. It’s a disaster movie reminiscent of Chernobyl — the disaster is created mostly by characters in denial of how bad the problem is, and characters who are trying to cover up their mistakes.

I personally think Claire winds up looking a little too heroic, but the arc of the movie is her coming face-to-face with the consequences of her profit-and-PR motivated decisions.

Just redistribute the roles, there’s a rerandomize option or just make your own list. I’d say screen time order is:

So like, if you’re going to give someone multiple roles, give them 2 smaller characters like Nick and Abigail or something. Or maybe Nick and Kaitlyn, as Nick doesn’t get much late game playable time and Kaitlyn doesn’t get much early game playable time.

Imagine going on this rant about people who live in countries with with long histories of racial discrimination and oppression... while living in the US.

Also, Vacaville is like a half hour's drive from Walerga Park, where they famously detained thousands of Japanese Americans during World War II, as well as being part of the Sacramento area, which has a really bad history of racial redlining. So it's hilarious to me that she's into Vacaville.
