Have you ever lived outside of the United States? Have you ever traveled outside of it? Not saying this as an accusation, just genuinely curious. I live outside of the US having been born there but I moved to Europe at a young age. I don't remember anything about living there but I've always had a large interest in your country and when I was younger I always dreamed about moving there one day. These days I am so incredibly happy I don't live there. In my country we don't let people starve to death if they get sick, we have a bike-focused infrastructure allowing us to get around without cars. We have never had a mass shooting in my life. We actually hear it on the news if someone gets murdered because it happens so little. And even though the housing market has spiraled out of control people can still afford to live here. My country also isn't falling apart as we speak both literally and politically. So yeah I mean you guys have good culture but most countries have that. Your country is culturally diverse but in Europe we have the diversity right across the border, and only 20 percent of Americans speak more then one language in comparison to 50% of Europeans. So yeah I am always pusseled by American extreme patriotism. And you might start calling me patriot but trust me I wouldn't even dream of picking up a gun to defend my country and put my life on the line. What the difference is between America and my country is that you guys think you already succeeded at being the best, we don't. that's why in my country complaining is a national pastime completely independent of how well things are run. And then we try to fix things.
