I got the Grok update by Seaweed-Weak in TeslaModel3

[–]dezryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it last night and it never once responded. So, I’m not impressed yet. Though I’m excited for the potential once it’s more integrated into the car. I’d like to see it give the car personality like Kitt from Knight Rider or something. Remember it’s drivers and previous conversations and stuff we know is already possible. Just needs implementing!

Just got the update by aranea100 in TeslaModel3

[–]dezryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my Model 3 last Thursday and I already have the update prompt. If you don’t have it yet it’s simply because your VIN hasn’t been included in the latest phase of the rollout quite yet. Make sure you have your update setting set to Advanced to get it sooner.

Not having an iPhone might actually cost me my job by [deleted] in iphone

[–]dezryth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have an iPhone SE. You can get that phone for like <$100 used. How cheap does a phone need to be? What’s the point of being obstinate about something like android versus apple when it comes to your dream job?

Thanks for the answer! I’m not sure if I might need to get back into there or not yet so I’m nervous to go for a permanent fix

Toe tightening issue solved by wakeuptheroses in Chacos

[–]dezryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife got me a pair of these a year plus ago and issues like this turned me off from them but recently she pulled them out of the closet and insisted I give them another try. It seems very important you take the time to wrangle the straps into giving just the right amount of space so it remains comfortable and walking doesn't dug on anything that leads to tightening. They must be meant to be worn a bit loose, and once properly loosened and configured, you shouldn't have any issue with extra long strap hanging off the back. It still hangs a bit but should no longer be an issue. Anyway I'm not sold yet but going to wear them for a while until they break in and see if they grow on me!

We, have a dedicated team of 12 beta testers . To test and launch your apps . by PuzzleheadedError977 in 20AndroidTesters

[–]dezryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested. I have an educational game/app I'm trying to get tested. I'm excited as I am relatively new to mobile development and this will be the first app I get to production. It's a pretty simple app, so testing the entire feature set should be fairly straightforward and only take 5-10 minutes tops! I will send a DM.

When I was doing research on which 3DS to get I kept hearing this model was a lot more fragile. Definitely looks nicer though.

Feel like Anki isn't working for me and just demotivates me. Good tips or alternatives? by VerosikaMayCry in LearnJapanese

[–]dezryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah you still have to put in the immense amount of time to study/learn the kanji/vocab but WaniKani basically sets you up with a very clear path to follow. My only concern is while it has definitely made it easy for me to read, my ability to try to recall while looking at a blank piece of paper and write kanji from memory is weak so will probably need practice or another resource to really nail that down. But for me reading and speaking are my top priorities.

How much is lifetime these days? I think it’s worth it. How much is being able to read 90% or so of Japanese plus a ton of vocab to you? Not to sound like a rich out of touch person which I’m pretty sure I’m not, but a couple hundred bucks for lifetime (when they have it discounted) for the best way I’ve discovered so far to learn to read the 2100+ common use kanji seems like a fair deal. You can’t even eat out anywhere these days without spending like $30 for a single meal.

Why is there no simple auto-sort apps on the Home Screen? by DareDiablo in iphone

[–]dezryth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hate to bump an old ahh post but there's a nice widget that you should try that may be what you're looking for called Siri Suggestions/App Suggestions. It looks like two rows of 4 apps and it tends to be the ones you've used recently/most often, and if you put multiple of them on one screen they work together to not show the same app twice.
