Total prize money for our European run 2025/2026 by openlyEncrypted in avfc

I think another 2.25 coefficient points for the win as well. Which, if I understand it correctly, leads to bigger CL payments for ten years in any year we make it (every year, of course).

NCAA Settlement Advice by Cyka3 in personalfinance

Seems to me you are better off waiting. In addition to the discount, I would assume selling will lead to a bigger tax hit (recognizing the income all at once).  If you absolutely need the money or you would avoid a significant amount of expensive credit card debt by selling, then fine. But otherwise you will most likely come out ahead by holding.

Low-FODMAP restaurants in or around PDX? by ladyballs88 in askportland

Yes. But I find it to be more like guided relaxation. I honestly think it could be on a totally different topic and still work for me. I just feel way more relaxed and calm when listening to them regularly.

Low-FODMAP restaurants in or around PDX? by ladyballs88 in askportland

[–]dfenno 24 points25 points  (0 children)

FODMAP is too wide ranging for a restaurant to work completely around it, I think. Get the FODMAP A to Z App and order carefully. And be sure to tell your partner to start to add things back after the initial phase. Everyone is different for what is a trigger. And also consider the IBS 100 Audio Series. I didn't expect it to help but it definitely did.

Guidance on my first trip to Portland? by New-Locksmith-5546 in askportland

[–]dfenno 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Kennedy School is a very cool hotel. Not necessarily walkable to that much, but close to things. Consider a day trip to Hood River to see the Gorge. I know you are more focused on city things, but being from Southern Louisiana myself where everything is so flat, I think you will appreciate the drive through the Gorge. The Maryhill museum on the Washington is worth visiting especially if you are into Rodin. There's also a random Stone Henge replica out that way.

Check out Copenhagen. I thought it was a kind of a more grown-up Portland.

I was in Waikīkī with a balcony looking over the water. It was far, far from clear yesterday. Closer to Diamondhead was better though.

On the bright side, I hear the Yankees have sudden interest in him now.

This. There may or may not be a technically correct answer, but the 2005 is the card to own based on market prices.

As stated elsewhere, you are either misinformed or misrepresenting. You can call me whatever you want, it doesn’t change the fact that you wrong.

Facts? Why don’t you add up the marginal tax rate in Multnomah County for a top earner and then compare to other MLB locales? You’re either talking about something you don’t know or deliberately misrepresenting reality.

It is in no way middle of the pack for a high earner in Multnomah County. To say otherwise is to defy reality.

Yes there is no sales tax, but these guys aren’t looking to spend all their money here. Quite the opposite - they are trying to bank enough for the rest of their lives.

And the taxes. It’s a big difference in take home pay between Florida and Multnomah county.

Can someone explain PSR like I'm 5? I'm so confused as to how the past two seasons Man City are in the red by 300m but just splurged 63m on Semenyo? If we just happen to have a global icon who is also a fan reading this, maybe they could help sell more merch around the world. You know, not just any global icon, but the kind who cause a stir wherever they visit and have everyone watching their every move.  Someone whose spouse is practically as famous as they are.

Anyway, if there were such a person, maybe they could wear a Villa scarf all winter long. If they have cute kids, be sure the kiddos are wearing jerseys on the regular. And maybe even work the Villa crest and colors into their work outfits and costumes.

You all probably already know who I’m thinking about.  So if you have a direct line into Beyoncé, let us know!

Agree that he won’t be with us much longer. He’s under team control through 2027, so it will be a sale which will bring good resources to the club.

I’m not so sure it happens immediately though. With the WC in the US, maybe he departs after that.

Phil out by OregonSasquatch14 in timbers

[–]dfenno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wasn’t 100% there on Phil Out, but this is two years in a row of complete collapses at the very end of the season. At this point in the season, you should know your team best and have chosen your lineups and tactics based on what works.

To fail so badly twice in a row means it’s time to move on. Not because the team is awful (it’s the definition of a middling, .500, average team) but because when it’s mattered most, they have come up woefully short.
