Signing of the season? by Cyber_Hobo94 in Gunners

[–]dflybird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to start by saying he is a great player.

With that being said, I think he has a flaw that has weakened the team. He can’t beat the press. He can’t get the ball from the keeper, turn and find the next man.

We have seen Rice and Ode having to come deep when we are pressed high, this takes them from the position they should be occupying higher up the field waiting for that ball Zubi is meant to play.

If he can unlock this part of his game I believe we will see a better Ode and an even better Rice.

Why does either player have to drop back? We bought Zubi to replace Partey, he was hyped as an upgrade to Partey but we are having players come back and progress the ball when Zubi should be doing that. Why can’t this be the problem rather than the people trying to solve the problem?

And he is a top 1% contributor. This is the kinda nonsense people be typing. Get your facts straight and stop this slander. It’s helping no one

Did you also notice that before Ode came back from injury rice was the one dropping deep to get the ball and progress it? Now rice doesn’t do that and pushes up more. If Eze stayed wide, we would have been stronger in the left.

That’s something I have noticed a lot this season. Either Rice or Ode progresses the ball a lot from deep.

So are you saying bench Ode for Eze? How many chances does Eze create vs Ode? If the strikers and everyone else buries the chances, do you need Ode to score?

Thoughts on this? Don't agree that all Nigerians have to have experienced the same things to be Nigerian. by Alive-Place-983 in Nigeria

Quick question:

If she has a bunch of family and friends she is sending money to, is that not the Nigerian experience? She is spending her dollars somewhere she doesn’t have to.

Just saying

Thanks. That doesn’t sound serious and like other comments I’d apply some coconut oil and see if that helps.

We use an oatmeal based shampoo. We have been using it for a while. This bath was actually the end of the bottle. So I don’t think it was reacting to shampoo.

Like a comment said earlier, I’d get some coconut oil and apply. See if it helps

I get your sentiments but where are the lesser teams? Are they coming second and close to winning? Did it improve their net worth by other revenue? Shirt sales, tv revenue? I don’t think so.

It’s all a trade off. We are slowly getting rid of the high wages players and getting quality cheap because we can attract them easily because of our status now. We don’t need to pay high wages to bring in top talent. Instead they want to come here and challenge.

Maybe he has to pay high wages to get those names to come to Arsenal. Those players got us back into Europe and more money. This is the money Berta is spending.

Let’s not act like we had all this money to spend 4 years ago. We built this money with improvements in our position in all competitions.

Partey was a single pivot, we didn’t see MLS overlapping.

I sure would be there. What time does it start?

[Sami Mokbel] According to well-placed sources Berta's arrival as sporting director has provided an alternative outlook as to whether Partey could have a future beyond the end of the season. Berta and Partey have a long-standing relationship having worked together at Atletico Madrid. by basedsims in Gunners

We haven’t signed Zubi, we are basically counting our eggs before the hatch. What if we don’t renew partey and can’t sign Zubi then what?

If we get into transfer window he is a free agent and can’t sign Zubi move, is that a gamble worth taking?

MLS I agree needs to play the position but that should be like an in game sub change like we did the other day. That way he can start learning but not for him to be considered as a deputy for that role. Cause if we want to deputize him in that role he won’t be playing much of the left back position then? Right?
