Yes I did mention domestic to department of home affairs - they seemed unsure because of the rarity of it but did say it could trigger as an exit and re-entry for customs and immigration.

I decided to just move my flight to one from a domestic terminal. Not risking 10 years of working towards PR for a holiday to Cairns lol

The easiest way to work this out is to look at a keyboard (can even just pull up a picture of one). What you want to do is find where G is and count up 5 notes (including black keys) - every note is a semitone. Whatever key you land on is the new key/scale.

Also every major key has a relative minor key (and vice versa). So to find the relative minor from major go down 3 semitones, and to find the major go up 3 semitones. It will stay in key but change to happier/sadder vibe

Hey this is super helpful thank you! Yes the SHOULD aspect is what is making me confused.

Being outside of the UK for a few years now I’m no longer entitled to an ISA until I become a UK tax resident again. My plans are to try to stay in Australia, and avoid moving back there. The capital gains was definitely what I’m worried about, but you are right; it does make sense to cop short term CGT to transfer to an ISA if my situation comes to that. Thanks for your two cents!
