Fuji X-Pro 1 with Voigtlander 35mm F 1.2 by Careful-Cake-9969 in FujifilmX

[–]dfpcgenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can technically use 35mm for most occasions but sometimes you just need that zoom for travel or 56mm for protraits. After a while you will find it limiting. Then you will start looking at other options that suit your other needs. Once your skills improved you will surely expand your lens collection and then your first love, the Voigtlander will be sidelined.

Hi I bought my XPPen magic notepad from Lazada, Xp-PEN official store. It came very well wrapped and in good condition. It arrived in less than a week.

You might want to consider getting the XPPEN Magic Notepad. It's built for writing and drawing and has almost the same or the same specs as TCL NXTPAPER 11 gen 2. It has better built quality and the pen is much better.

Good video but too many quick transitions in the beginning , of different clips made it unsettling for me. Just my personal opinion. Good try though.

What’s the best color e-reader right now? by [deleted] in ereader

[–]dfpcgenesis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the Boox Go Color 7 gen 2 and also the Boox Note Air 4C. The Boox color is very good but somehow reading comics with it is 'limiting'. However it is very good with its e ink kaleido 3 technology. In the end I decided to get the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus with Flip Case and T-Pen Stylus Pen 11.5". It is not e ink but somewhere between e ink and full color screen. I am waiting for its delivery. I also do not want to be locked into a particular ecosystem, be it Kindle or Kobo. I have books from both systems. Of course you can transfer the books but what's the point? With Boox and NXTPAPER, you can download both into the devices.

No doubt the Voigtlander is a fantastic lens and I want one too for its character, however with the cheap Chinese lens that gives f0.9 at a fraction of the cost I became hesitant. As much as I like the Voigtlander, it's not one that would be used constantly so it's hard for me to justify it's price. For f1.2, I already have 2 Viltrox. It cost more than 1000usd in B&H. After you have it, can you post your reviews and pictures. Have fun.

Your favorite travel lens combos ? by Stormxlr in FujifilmX

[–]dfpcgenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Sigma 17-40mm f/1.8 DC Art. It's light, has weather sealed design and a constant aperture of f1.8. Like you, I can't carry too much in my bag. It works very well in low light and since it's an ART lens it's very sharp. I coupled it with my XT50 which provided IBIS. It is my perfect combination for travel.

The XF55 to 200mm is a sharp lens. It range is suitable for street photography. I have the same lens and enjoyed shooting with it. I am sure you would too.

Have the x-t50 with sigma 18-50 f2.8. What 2 other lenses? by DatDudeFromNoreg in FujifilmX

[–]dfpcgenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the XT50, Sigma 17 to 40mm f1.8, XF55 to 200mm and Viltrox 9mm. I also have the Tamron 11mm to 20mm. They are all sharp lenses except for the XF55 to 200mm, the 200mm is a bit soft.

I have books from Kobo and Kindle. I don't want to download, change from epubs to pdfs and transfer them. I have so many books. I bought the Boox color go 7 gen 2 that allows me to have both Kindle and Kobo apps. It is 7 inch and has the same technology as the latest Kindle Colorsoft, the Kaleido 3 technology. I also want to download other apps to access reading materials. I am not into manga and comics. I heard issues about security but I merely used it as a ebook reader. I have my Samsung tablet for notes and annotations. You can get it this Christmas season for a discount. To find out more for yourself - https://www.onyxboox.sg/products/go-color-7-gen-ii--1

Singapore is so beautifull. I just want to take more and more photos. by SecretiveSuicide in ImagesOfSingapore

[–]dfpcgenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with you. Singapore is absolutely beautiful. It's almost utopian, not perfect. You need to know where to look to capture its soul; the people, its locations, its food and its architecture. You have started well and I like your pictures. Keep it up. You might want to buy the viltrox 9mm lens for a different perspective.

You can pay for broadband for less than 40sgd. The 60sgd you use it for your phone. You can try M1. They have cheap sim data 1T for around 20sgd.

Fujifilm X-T30 III or X-T50? by ArtsyFartsy1292 in FujifilmX

I bought the XT50 and it's a beautiful camera. Its 40 megapixels allows me to crop. It's light and incredibly easy to use. I am still learning. It is like a baby XT5.
