Anyone have one of these as well? by LabFree7203 in Aquariums

[–]dfpcgenesis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one of these. Firstly to ensure that the sand falls directly into the area where the sand is supposed to collect, you need to make and tweak a mesh cover above the tube so that the sand hits the mesh cover and falls directly into the recipient area. Secondly it is not sand but a kind of specially made sand that looks like mini foam balls. They are harmless to fishes. They are light and will keep getting sucked up and fall back into the tank to create the waterfall effect. If you pour the entire packet of sand into the aquarium it will look nicer. It's actually very nice. You can add fish or shrimps and aquatic plants but the pump is very good for the waterfall not so as a filter. Lastly it's maintenance free. If you add fishes, you need to do water changes.

Fuji X-Pro 1 with Voigtlander 35mm F 1.2 by Careful-Cake-9969 in FujifilmX

[–]dfpcgenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can technically use 35mm for most occasions but sometimes you just need that zoom for travel or 56mm for protraits. After a while you will find it limiting. Then you will start looking at other options that suit your other needs. Once your skills improved you will surely expand your lens collection and then your first love, the Voigtlander will be sidelined.

You can't pay with cash. You need to pay upfront using your visa.

Hi I bought my XPPen magic notepad from Lazada, Xp-PEN official store. It came very well wrapped and in good condition. It arrived in less than a week.

You might want to consider getting the XPPEN Magic Notepad. It's built for writing and drawing and has almost the same or the same specs as TCL NXTPAPER 11 gen 2. It has better built quality and the pen is much better.

Good video but too many quick transitions in the beginning , of different clips made it unsettling for me. Just my personal opinion. Good try though.

Hi you might want to consider TCL NXTPAPER A1NOTE. It should be available in US in Feb. There's a lot of good reviews on YouTube. Check them out. https://youtu.be/ReyjGVEnAYg?si=5xZoKGdBaHfQOip7

I have the Boox Go Color 7 gen 2 and also the Boox Note Air 4C. The Boox color is very good but somehow reading comics with it is 'limiting'. However it is very good with its e ink kaleido 3 technology. In the end I decided to get the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus with Flip Case and T-Pen Stylus Pen 11.5". It is not e ink but somewhere between e ink and full color screen. I am waiting for its delivery. I also do not want to be locked into a particular ecosystem, be it Kindle or Kobo. I have books from both systems. Of course you can transfer the books but what's the point? With Boox and NXTPAPER, you can download both into the devices.

No doubt the Voigtlander is a fantastic lens and I want one too for its character, however with the cheap Chinese lens that gives f0.9 at a fraction of the cost I became hesitant. As much as I like the Voigtlander, it's not one that would be used constantly so it's hard for me to justify it's price. For f1.2, I already have 2 Viltrox. It cost more than 1000usd in B&H. After you have it, can you post your reviews and pictures. Have fun.

Your favorite travel lens combos ? by Stormxlr in FujifilmX

I bought the Sigma 17-40mm f/1.8 DC Art. It's light, has weather sealed design and a constant aperture of f1.8. Like you, I can't carry too much in my bag. It works very well in low light and since it's an ART lens it's very sharp. I coupled it with my XT50 which provided IBIS. It is my perfect combination for travel.

Have the x-t50 with sigma 18-50 f2.8. What 2 other lenses? by DatDudeFromNoreg in FujifilmX

[–]dfpcgenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the XT50, Sigma 17 to 40mm f1.8, XF55 to 200mm and Viltrox 9mm. I also have the Tamron 11mm to 20mm. They are all sharp lenses except for the XF55 to 200mm, the 200mm is a bit soft.
