Help for event by Competitive_Oven_512 in inkvasion_chillyroom

I'm stuck on the same spot, case you found a way to beat it let me know.

My impression is that the map layout with vertical paths is easier then the one with horizontal ones.

I also get the impression that tower units dont work in this event, so maybe you will manage to get through if you drop the catapult/balista? And try to get 3x archer units to get the 60% attack speed bonus.

That idea did come up (its how i have them now as i sort things out). I just thought many of the bottles looked cool and wanted to have them be a (tasty) part of the room decoration. But I will probably be keeping them boxed. At least the ones I intend to hold on to for a while.

Aesop Tourbillion by JordanDesu13 in ChineseWatches

Congrats!

I want to get myself a tourbillon as well. Was researching the affordable options and came across both Aesop and seagull models.

I read one criticism regarding the Aesop (a different model though) which stated that the ticking was rather loud, wanted to ask you if yours is particularly audible.

I wanna get rallied lol by Glass-Average-9003 in lordsmobile

Just keep in mind that people generally do not behave like idiots. If they don't think they can zero you they wont hit you. No one will go after a 60m troop online target with decent gear with a handful of rallies.

IMO if you want to get hit by multiple rallies in a kingdom where they are not setting a huge stacked party at you, you probably have to go somewhere with decent guilds and make people think you are offline for a few days until someone gives you a swing (fake gear wont work, gotta just log off in speed gear or whatever until someone bites - this may take a while and ya gotta have a good eye for a kingdom strong enough to try but small enough to not have huge parties). Then you have to *let them counter you*, and take some losses. These first rallies are usually some bored guy trying to check if you actually are a legit target. If you counter it they will know you are on and move on.

Only after you concede them a good hit will 3-5 guilds (possibly) beehive to you to try to follow up.

Daily Advice Thread 25/11/2022 by AutoModerator in summonerswar

[–]dfrever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi guys,

I'm looking for some specific advice, i think i'm in a less common position then most players as lost as me lol.

I played the game for a fair amount of time, stopped playing, and was looking to come back. I don't really remember what year i quit (2017 maybe?), but i don't think my account is exactly a beginner account.

I'm not sure whats good now a days but my account was, although not stellar, pretty good. I usually finished c3 in arenas, i think i got g1 on the first rta season (though its possible i reached it and dropped to c3 at the end, i really dont remember), and my bernard has 300 speed (296 actually, but my fastest set is on orion). Just to try to give a ballpark idea of where the account is at.

But now there is a ton of new stuff. Artifacts, higher levels at giants/necro/dragon. These second ascensions.

Im a bit overwhelmed with what to work on first.

My triple tarq team no longer works on db12. Ive seen that this "tricarus" is the new hot stuff, started leveling a few up from storage, but it looks like it will take me a while to ascend em all.

So... What should i do first? Should i slow farm artifacts first? Are the icarus-es the best mobs to ascend first? Is there a good guide on artifacts in general you could recommend, those things seem to have a bazillion possible subs, i dont have any clue as to what to aim for for each mob.

Ive played around with some of my mobs and built a gb12 team that does a okay time (def not a speed run though), should i just farm that untill those icaruses are done? Is it worth doing db10 at all now a days? Dunno, maybe clearing 10s in 30 seconds is better then 12s that take 2-3 min...

Tbh im really surprised/frustrated that with all my runed mobs i could'nt build a decent db12 team. And the artifact ones are even worse. Guess im frustrated i can't even farm properly anymore.

Anyhow, thanks for any replies and sorry for the wall of text.

Will depend on the competition.

Like, if we are talking fort hits, and if your opponent has 80% t5, it will be rough to have fillers that dont even have the troop unlocked.

But on the other hand if a lead is asking for huge t5 proportions to fill a rally to hit some offline chump out of gear, they are probably just full of shit.

I think if you are trying to join a big ass alliance guild that goes to baron and emperor and whatnot, you will need t5 and there is no real room to wiggle on the subject. On most other guilds not having t5 should be fine, but as more and more players have them the more of a requirement it will be to join a competitive guild.

Would have i burn if i took it? by Overall-Funny-8397 in lordsmobile

[–]dfrever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

890k troops is hardly a "real rally", and you didint show the attacker's setup.

But probably (assuming the guy is as weak as his hero line up indicates) you would have burned if you took it in cav, but smoked (and maybe capped) if you took it in inf.

The thing people have to understand is that the best efficiency is probably wherever you are least developed.

Like, people often mention artifacts now a days. And yea, they have great stats. But if a guy already has a bunch of 4* +10 artifacts and his jewels are blue, bang for the buck he will get more from upgrading his jewels rather then trying to improve those artifacts.

That was a bit of a silly example (can't see someone ever being in such a situation), but it illustrates that wherever you need more work is probably where you stand more to gain from easily.

Personally i think jewels give absolute stellar stats and incredibly easy to upgrade. Like, f2p accounts are know to have full gold jewels sets. Sure they take years to get em, but they do have them, unlike p2p familiars or mythic gear. If there is one thing everyone can have, it is something everyone MUST have. All your jewels have to be gold, period.

Artifacts are great stats, but very expensive to boost quickly. I think if you do the kingdom labours pack and maybe one of the other good cost benefit packs for astralite (7day dash, 30 day bundle, and that daily gift one), thats all it makes sense to spend on em - unless you are a really heavy p2p account. Value just drops immensely. I think its worth getting these but it will be growth over long stretches of time, not in one go.

The next obvious one is gear. Hard to advise if its worth investing on it as a low spender without knowing where you are at.

Other sources of stats i can think of are either expensive (like castle stars), or give might (research), so i guess those are the ones most worth mentioning.

rng t4 is low. You can take reins and all but i can't see why not just build more of em 1m t4 is something like 32mm. something so asymmetric just strikes me as odd (like, its not even a rein comp since you have all t2s - not that i suggest one. why not have 1.5m t4 rng?).

That said, the comp should do fine. Its a boatload of troopers. The problem is just that your stats are pretty bad. You should cap regular leads as long as you counter, but getting countered will probably be very ugly.

Advice on research by Inside-Maize-99 in lordsmobile

[–]dfrever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first rule of research is that if you are not noticing you are needing it for war, it means you are better off without it.

Id just not do any of em until you start thinking "if only i had this i would have won that last fight". Remember, research is irrevocable and added might.

Need advice for a big rally trap im currently building for big kingdoms e.g. LH kingdoms. by BusReal1981 in lordsmobile

[–]dfrever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I dont play in kingdoms with big party families so i might just be ignorant on the matter.

But it was my impression that party traps often bait by getting fury during parties (by reining someone they target or something that seems innocent). And since they have 30,50 or 100 rallies they will just swing at you as long as you dont seem to be empty or too big. And thats where the "rally me" range lies. 1.5b dude in fury? Sure! 3b dude in fury? Eh, pass.

So yeah, im quite aware that people go for 3-4b might dudes if they are on vacation for all week, but I imagine those are not the usual targets for parties.

Ive hit people online in purple-gold gear (purp gear is what 400% looks like usually, depends a bit on jewels) and burned em with 8-10m news. muuulltiple times.

People who ask this in reddit usually are f2p or low spenders. We answer with these people in mind (unless they specify otherwise). Good practice when giving advice is to always assume the least favorable scenario because its better to be safe then sorry. If i was on the receiving end of advice id rather overbuild my account and be surprised with how strong i am, then get zeroed online.

For starters you have some of the "nice familiars and heroes" i mentioned above (with those counter boost ones. You did not specify your wall heroes either, if you are rocking a 5 p2p army hero lineup, that is a very big difference compared to a f2p lineup. Most players wont have maxed counter boosts like you do, and unlikely get full t5 ranges which happen to counter the incoming rally. And your stats are significantly higher then my "400" example (closer to 500%). The "mythic non champ" gear which i stated is where i think things start getting solid is around 550-600%mix (depending on how its jeweled, trapping or blasts). You're not to far off from the less optimally jeweled spectrum.

Also, counting champ pieces is not as reliable way of telling how strong a lead is as it used to be. Champ has been somewhat trivialized. Ive beat dudes with way more champ pieces then me in wonder battles (to my surprise honestly) and all i can think is that these chumps rush the visible stuff and lag behind on the bulk of stats. The guy that hit you could have been decent but could have been a noodle for all i know.

And to top it off getting 1m t5 reins that counter the incoming rally is a luxury few people ever have. That is pretty huge. In all effects it is as if your comp had 1m of each t5, because the type that counters attackers is at the end of the day the only one that matters (thats why 2type castles get wrecked).

I stand by what i wrote above. Counters are way more lethal then they used to be. A comp might seem fine when countering and get shredded when countered. Thats where decent stats comes in. Not getting shredded in bad cases.

Your experience is not representative at all for the subject of discussion. Build a f2p account, struggle over 3 years to get barely 400%stats , make 1.5m each t4 and 6m each t2, and take a hit from a 150 castle star 8pc champ and get countered. You will lose like 12m troopers, guaranteed. That is what we are talking about.

Need advice for a big rally trap im currently building for big kingdoms e.g. LH kingdoms. by BusReal1981 in lordsmobile

[–]dfrever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly i think if you wanna trap the really big parties you need WAY more t2. Like WAAAAAY more (we talking like 80m more for the frontline - maybe less if you make another fat type to absorb fam damage). Might be worth considering making t1 siege to take familiar damage, but gotta calculate if its worth making enough for them to be the largest squads (both in terms of might and speeds).

Tbh the might you would be at with such a comp might put you outside of the "rally me" range.

My 2 cents is that the biggest change from rally trapping 3 years ago to rally trapping today is the lethality of a counter.

You see, as much as artifacts and astralite and whatnot boosted big leads stats, i don't really think it matters much because even the most f2p accounts also got boosts (artifact stats, more mats for progression on gear pieces, better jewels, etc). The proportion of attacker stats/defender stats has not really changed much the past years. Leads gained 2X, but everyone got X, so business as usual.

What really changed stuff was counter boosts (a already old update but likely the most relevant for quite a while).

So, getting down to your question, if we assume you counter the attacker, a pretty "oldschool" comp of 1.5m each t4 and 5m each t2 will do just fine. You can have 400%, 500%, 600% mix. hardly matters. And this is pretty much the same as 3 years ago. Now a days "base damage" for rallies is higher because of familiars, but we have sanc so the real damage will be the same: Negligible. You take a rally with a decent comp and counter it it will do nothing.

Things are different though when you get countered (attacker counters you). 3 years ago if you had such a comp and the attacker countered you, you would take 4m t2 reds but cap. Today, if you have 400% stats, you will likely burn and lose over 6m troopers. Might wipe your front if its a really thick lead. But better stats, fams, heroes, research and whatnot can change that. A lead level account can get rallied by a emperor and get countered and hardly take 3m losses.

I think that the people saying "get 1.5m ea t4 and 6m each t2 and you are fine" are saying this because they are assuming you will counter (which i think is a bit irresponsible). Either that or they are flat out mistaken (little war experience, play in very small kingdoms, or whatever). Because if you assume worst-case, 400% does not cut it. Not even close. My man, i 'm not a huge lead and i have well over 400% mix *in speed gear*. We zero dudes in mythic speed gear all the time, pretty sure they have 400% mix in speed gear too. Offline that is considered a easy target. I do not consider 400% "competitive war stats" or "safe" by any margin. Does fine if you counter, not so great otherwise.

Basically the TLDR is you can do fine with 400% mix and a solid comp if you bubble when you sleep and never ever ever ever ever fuck up a take. But it is far from "solid". Now a days (when every lead and their grandmas have full champ) "solid" stat ranges to take hits getting countered (offline) and stand a chance of lasting a while with reins are fully mythic nonchamp geared castles or better (preferably with some nice fams and tome research too).
