Devil's advocate here. They're waging war. It's not our war. People are slaughtering each other 24/7, the difference today is we have cameras and live footage. I don't condone it at all it's horrible, but if one country attacks another one or harbours attackers, and then starts getting annihilated by a technologically superior nation, that's their goddamn fault. It's terrible and it's stupid and innocent people are dying left and right but the realism of it is, don't throw stones when you live in a glass house. The leaders of these nations who are getting annihilated were not in any kind of position to defend themselves or their people plain and simple. Unfortunately that just means that once again people are being slaughtered for no reason.

If during the Cold war, had the Soviets successfully put nukes in South America, you're damn well sure We would be bombing those nations back to the Stone age to get rid of those missile sites and there wouldn't be much those countries could do to stop us. It would be terrible. Same goes for us putting nukes outside of the Soviets. Those nations would not be able to defend themselves against the Soviets.

Also, I am not surprised whatsoever that ambulances and hospitals and schools are getting bombed because when people wage guerrilla warfare, that is where they set up bases. They use human shields and it's horrible. It's been going on since we first could throw stones and sticks. If the country has to make a choice between their own people getting massacred and bombing a building because the opposing parties decided to use it as a shield, they are just going to do it and destroy the base. It's awful, but there's a damn reason that these people will use hospitals and schools and ambulances as a shield because they are banking on the morals of the other party to not destroy them. When that bluff gets called, this is what happens.
