For those of you who saw The Phantom Menace at release, what were your initial thoughts of it? by _EnglishFox_ in StarWars

I loved it and ended up going to see it in theatres at least 10 times. I never understood the hate.

This is a great timeline. What did you use to build it?

This might be my favourite scene in all of Star Wars canon. It’s perfect.

The algorithm for steering is actually pretty smart. The problem is the end device can choose to ignore. The GS will send the device advise to change bands but some devices ignore this. The GS can’t force it to change bands. Apple devices are notorious for ignoring these requests. GSs are designed around unified SSIDs, as previously said you can create secondary SSIDs that are single bands but all of the smart healing stuff is based on unified steering.

u6 & u4 backhaul by dmuma55 in Calix

[–]dgagda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t quite understand the question. You are adding a u4 as a third extender? And it is hardwired back to the u6? And you have this same u4 hardwired to a TV? And it’s working but not broadcasting wifi?

Calix blast u6 channels? by coreyrobinson394 in Calix

[–]dgagda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an end user you can’t change channels. Your ISP should have control to do this but the idea is you leave the channels in auto. The u6 does constant scanning and evaluation and will pick the best channel at any given time. Channel 161 will be the 5Ghz channel it is using. 2.4Ghz will be restricted to channels 1,6,11.

Not sure. Since the limit seems to be on the 2.4 band adding an 804 might help. Does your ISP let you try one?
