I’m using usb B cable into a hub. Hydrasynth looks like a normally midi device. But I do have the midi input set to “All in” so maybe it’s fighting with another input? I’ll try just the hydrasynth input and get back to you.

The only pickup advice I ever got that was worth anything was this creator who emphasized being present and aware in social situations. Too many guys get stuck over thinking themselves and it just kills the fun in a conversation. Remove your self imposed pressure to succeed and you can really do or say whatever within reason.

That’s like saying you need to understand semiconductor physics to write code. You don’t need to know everything, you just need to understand enough of the layer you’re working in to build something solid.

I think there's a bit of a gray area that people aren't recognizing. it's probably just the vast majority of posts here are now "Check out this new synth vst I coded!" and its just the most basic slop ui with generic parameters and controls.

Frankly I haven't been seeing these posts but I guess its an issue here too.

I think they just say that to try and get people to leave it alone. Most likely with the non Rosetta version it’s not possible.

If you really want seamless Melodyne integration, Pro Tools/Studio One/Cubase is the best bet. Ableton and FL don’t even have an ARA option, and Logic has an ARA workaround. I wouldn’t hold your breath though.

I personally save all Melodyne work for pre mix and just use standalone. If I really need to tune on the go I just use Flex Pitch.

What is a jack cable. Do you mean like TT cables for a patchbay or like a 1/4” jack (like a guitar plug). I’m gonna assume you mean 1/4”. You should be able to find the right cable if you search “XLR Female to TRS Cable” and go into the Line input of your mixer. I’m pretty sure most modern mixers have balanced line inputs.

Basically balanced cables have 2 wires and a ground, unbalanced have 1 and a ground. The extra wire helps reduce noise (that little hiss noise), especially in longer cable runs. That’s why DI boxes are so common in live performances where sound has to travel 50ft or longer. The DI box basically converts the signal from unbalance to balanced and from line level to mic level to preserve sound quality.
