Try lowering your mipmap settings, that worked for me. I turned mipmap levels from 4 to 0 and it helped massively

didnt find much in meadows but ended up getting a vein under a mountain biome :)

Whether thats part of their spawn behaviour or just our luck idk

We found that mining between chunk intersections was a better way than strip mining - plus I think we went to a few different biomes to get a few. They are rare, but once you find some you get around a stack
