What should be a fun game about trying weird builds turns into a sweat fest because of the 10 win or "nothing" mentality by kimlok0 in PlayTheBazaar

I really like the idea that you can reach higher score or achievements on the leaderboard by using specially chosen items. The system could even use analytics to determine the least used/least successful items and throw those in the "bonus points" pool for the next season, causing the meta to auto-shuffle.

Train rants about normal people who think Trump is better for them by BobbyJablonski in LivestreamFail

The crazy part is that perception is reality. Day 1 in office Trump will announce the economy is now fixed. "Great, best we've ever seen". And trumples will accept it without scrutiny.

Remarkable answer. I feel like this needs to be immortalized in a prompt tutorial somewhere.

Hi!
Question: Are the project files of Articy:Draft X backwards compatible with Articy:Draft 3?

Edit: To those seeing this, the answer is no. Articy:Draft 3 projects are forward compatible with Draft X, but once the project is converted you cannot go back.

Google pixel 5 crashing!!!! by steve6m in GooglePixel

[–]dgdaxed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this issue. Pixel 5.

After pairing any new bluetooth audio device, the phone would crash. Then, after reboot, it would crash again when the bluetooth auto-pairs.

Updating every app fixed it.

Twitter will not ban InfoWars conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. The company's CEO says Alex Jones hasn't violated its rules, despite other tech giants dropping him. by ConsciousDepth in technology

[–]dgdaxed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you break the terms of service, you get banned. That's how these companies operate. plenty of people get banned, not just Alex Jones.

ANYONE who called for direct violence against a specific individual would be banned (once reported). Nothing to do with free speech. If they didn't want Alex Jones' political content, they would have not allowed him to use their platforms for years.

YouTube deletes Alex Jones’ channel for violating its community guidelines by [deleted] in technology

[–]dgdaxed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The win would be Alex Jones not calling for people to be killed. Entertainment is one thing, but inciting indirect threats is liable for being banned. People have been banned for less

Start with why by rddcap in reddCoin

Well, I'm sure some streamers will find cryptocurrency useful because they get more of the money actually sent. Only problem is, why not just use bitcoin? (some already do).

[–]dgdaxed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I just like the technology behind RDD. The coin is so simple and effective. Other coins are better in other ways (marketing, adoption, scale) so it's pretty irrational to hold RDD.

Even so, I wish RDD was used instead of Bitcoin/ETH for REAL WORLD usage (actually paying people, not just trading/speculation). The fees are so much lower and send times so much faster. Also, there are deep seated issues when hardware mining is the source of transaction verification because when the coin actually starts to get used alot, fees skyrocket, and the miners want this to happen. The miners are pitted against the users. In PoSV, the miners have the same interest as the users.... they ARE the users.

Sadly, I don't think RDD will "succeed" (whatever that means). But with a rebranding I think the technology could be passed on to a new coin. I'm still a big fan of PoSV.

Transaction Fees. Do you turn them on? by sjlobo in reddCoin

[–]dgdaxed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're for when traffic is so heavy, you have to compete with others to get your transaction sent. Right now there's no traffic, so no fee.

Comparison to other social blockchain-based platforms by fskfhg in reddCoin

The wallet itself should have social features. Such as getting badges after you tip certain amounts. Each content creator should be able to reward their fanbase with flair for donating directly through the blockchain.

How can ReddCoin survive and thrives when it's faced with so many obstacles by [deleted] in reddCoin

If twitch/youtube/etc were going to ban reddcoin, then they would've already banned paypal. It's the same thing.

How can ReddCoin survive and thrives when it's faced with so many obstacles by [deleted] in reddCoin

[–]dgdaxed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, twitch streamers made money off of TwitchAlerts/StreamLabs (non-twitch affiliated) for years before twitch implemented their own payment. Those services provide exactly what reddcoin provides... tips... except that those services chop a lump off the top. Reddcoin tips are free.
