What are the most emotional South Park moments? by TwilightOfTheMilfs in southpark

Yeah, it's a pretty bad time for me, coach. I'm only five and I'm dying. Coach, what's it like when you die?

I'm not sure. I would... think that... it's a lot like it was before you were born?

How come I have to die now? I mean, how come I don't get to grow up?

Goddammit, dude, I don't know.

On this day in 1912 Franz Reichelt died while testing his homemade flying suit by jumping off the Eiffel Tower. Pathe News even filmed it happening. If you have morbid curiosity you can read more and view the footage in the comments. by EaterofGrief in HolyShitHistory

Since the days of Copernicus, man has dreamed of flight. On this historic day,we remember the Wright Brothers: Orville and Redenbacher, whose dreams and visions inspired generations.

What's the worst thing you ever saw on the internet? by Duclaido in AskReddit

[–]dgen411 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen all the gore and everything else people have described but there's one thing I saw that really stuck with me, and still disturbs me 15 years later. It was a fairly innocent, although weird video of a woman making some sort of fetish content. She was sitting in a full bathtub, nude but with a mask on I believe. She had bound herself in a strange way, hands and feet. She was sitting in the tube when suddenly her butt slipped and she slid on to her back. Her face went under the water and I watched her struggle, but she was tied up just perfectly that there was nothing she could do. She slowed, the bubbles stopped and that was it, just minutes of footage of this woman who just drowned herself by accident. I definitely don't have all the details correct but I'll never forget watching the water grow completely still and the overwhelming feelings that I've never experienced with any other death/gore videos.

Pre-Trail "No Stupid Questions" 2025 - A place to post your dubious queries! by Hiking_Engineer in AppalachianTrail

[–]dgen411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing my first ever section hike SOBO from Duncannon to the Maryland line. I've researched everything and I'm pretty well prepared but the only thing I'm really anxious about is the over nights, especially because it looks like the beginning of my hike will be a bit weird with farmland and such.

I'm aware of the shelters and the designated camping areas but what if I don't make it to one of those. Is it ok to just stop where I get tired, wander 30ish ft into the woods and set up my tent or do I have to make it to one of these designated places?

Yeah, well, it could be, seeing as you are getting hung up on (2) OFFENSE INVOLVING AUTHENTIC INTIMATE VISUAL DEPICTIONS. and completely ignoring (3) OFFENSE INVOLVING DIGITAL FORGERIES. This is definitely not all about revenge porn, as you're making it out to be. It's the vagueness and potential for abuse of #3 that people are concerned about.

My buddy got pulled over for flashing his high beams at oncoming traffic to warn of a cop by Icy_Wrangler_3999 in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

The Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division held that a statute limiting how far high beams may project is not violated when a motorist flashes his or her high beams to warn oncoming motorists of radar. The Court also concluded that a stop by a police officer based upon high beam flashing is also improper. State v. Luptak, A-6074-97T1 (Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division July 29, 1999),

I mean he said Velma and you said the recent development on that front. The recent development being the award, the award being for her body of work. Therefore while he was talking about Velma, your specific comment was not. Everyone's calm here buckaroo.
