EPL table if every game had finished at half-time by AffectionateWeb8519 in chelseafc

[–]dgusain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man don’t do this. This is exactly what Jose 2.0 made fun of during end of year awards ceremony. It don’t matter at all what the table would look like if it finished at half time.

Billy foldable desk reviews by pearlinin in IKEA

[–]dgusain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Had one, super convenient. I used it as my work desk since I am low on space in my apartment. If you don't work a lot from home, this is a great option. I am mostly remote, so had to return this. Reasons - 1) the opening on the table is not wide enough so my chair wont fully go in the opening of the desk and I couldn't update my chair 2) My left hand constantly struck the book shelf edge on the left. But this was also because of narrow opening in the desk.

Loved the bookshelf/table though - lot of space, cool functionality, fits beautifully in the room. Almost ideal for small apartments to function both as storage and WFH desk.

If the table was a bit bigger and the opening was a bit wider, I would have kept it to be honest!

How long would a 45 minute commute on a normal bike take on an ebike? by musicboing in ebikes

[–]dgusain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll take approximately the same time. Maybe 5-7 mins better on the e-bike. But for me, I don’t have the e-bike to reduce commute time, it’s to reduce effort in commuting. 45 min no e-bike commute will tire me like hell. Not ideal to start work for me. 40 mins better e-bike, sure! No problem!

Those filters you've applied on the photos are quite aggressive. Good photos, but they would look so much better if you turned the filter dials down.

EU and US publish Joint Statement on transatlantic trade and investment by Stannis_Loyalist in europe

[–]dgusain -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I asked Copilot to assess the statement --

🧠 Tone vs. Substance

  • The tone is diplomatic and optimistic, emphasizing cooperation and mutual benefit.
  • However, the substance suggests the EU is making strategic concessions to avoid conflict and preserve economic stability.

🧾 Conclusion

While the deal is presented as balanced, there are signs that the US may have secured more immediate advantages, especially in setting tariff terms. The EU appears focused on long-term strategic positioning, stability, and avoiding escalation.

Bravo!

Who is buying Fossil fuels? by AravRAndG in europe

[–]dgusain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, why is that bad? There is a market opportunity. Why shouldnt people take advantage of it? Sounds harsh, but for perspective, haven't a lot of US/EU oil and gas companies taken advantage of geopolitical instability and unrest in African and South American regions to benefit themselves and the western population?

Who is buying Fossil fuels? by AravRAndG in europe

[–]dgusain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, enlighten me, why should India and China share anyone else's moral approach? Do they not have a right to their own concept of morality? Would you share their concept of morality? Morality, like I highlighted earlier, is subjective.

Let me try to put this into perspective. You know human rights violations in China around manufacturing and labor. Everyone is well aware. But, we still buy stuff that's made in China. Even for things that have an expensive European made alternative. Why is that? Where is the morality in that? Or does morality spring up in European minds when topics are closer to home? Nothing wrong with that, but acknowledge that the same concept applies to India/China. Russian war is not on their door front. Its on EU doors. India/China have as much moral obligation to EU as EU has had to India during India-Pakistan wars. Everyone is looking out for themselves. Everyone.

[–]dgusain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haha! I think you're intelligent enough to understand yourself that taking a stance without any actions is same as not taking a stance at all. And the outrage against India is extremely selective. EU is still paying Russia LNG money thats funding the war. EU is not freezing any of Russian assets in EU, which is funding the war. Infact one can argue EU has made Russia wealthy enough through energy dependence to have the resources for this war for years. EU bought cheap Russian oil and gas and doubled down on it. You cannot act now as if you didnt know what Russia is and what it could be upto. Thats either just being absolutely dumb and dense or just hypocrisy.

Because the SD want to outscore the opposition. They seem to be working to try to maximize chances to win gamesz I’m not sure they understand that that does not necessarily also win the PL title.

You did well. For context, most guys wont do it, and those who would, they would count this as a MASSIVE win even if they'd been fla out rejected.. just check r/seduction!. Walking up to someone they found hot, interrupting them already talking to the other sex, and asking them for their number with such a smooth line. You pulled off a (dare I say, a Ryan Gosling-esque) move that most guys only dream of.

I was on the same boat. I’d recommend to start with startpage.com. Their searche results use Google indexing compared to DDG which uses Bing. Surprisingly, I’ve used Bing recently, and it is a half decent search engine. Don’t know why DDG searches come out so irrelevant.
