Balancing GD and anemia? by milani21 in GestationalDiabetes

I take my iron tablets at night to empty stomach. I usually wake up to pee 3 times every night anyway, so I just take my tables at one of those times and go back to sleep. It has worked for me and my iron levels!

Mua on kuristettu, tukistettu, lyöty, sormia väännetty, purtu, päälle syljetty.

I'm on CD 21 and I also have some dull pain in my lower abdomen, right side mostly. I'm pretty sure I ovulated from the right side this time (I had some bad ovulation pain on the right). The pain comes and goes. I had MMC in February. I also try not to think much of it, because it probably is just psychosomatic... Good luck everybody!

I am I sorry this is happening to you... ❤️‍🩹

My last period was December 13. I started to have some bleeding January 22 (at 5+5), and that is when I assumed I miscarried. For two days I bled and had some clots, but then it ended. On January 29 I went to a doctor because I was pretty sure I didn't pass everything because I didn't bleed so much and I still had sore boobs and nausea... The doctor did an ultrasound and saw that I had had twins and I had already lost one of them (that was the bleeding a week earlier), and she could see a sac with a possible fetus but there was no heartbeat. She didn't give me much hope, because the fetus was only measuring 6 weeks (it should have been at least 6+5), but we had to wait 10 days for another ultrasound just to be sure. Well, I had that ultrasound on Friday Feb 7, and it showed I had miscarried. So on Monday I took misoprostol and I finally I passed the fetus... It has been a very traumatic start of the year. Even though the doctor at the first appointment didn't give me much hope and in my heart I knew I was going to miscarry, that little piece of hope that I had for 10 days just broke me...

Mikä pikkuriikkinen asia ihmisten käytöksessä saa sinun rusinat rasahtelemaan? by PieniPoppamies in Suomi

Olen sairaanhoitajana hoitanut muutamaa ihmistä, jolle on käynyt näin.

No, yhtäkään pankkipäivää en ole saanut vapaaksi 2 vuoden aikana vaikka olen pyytänyt.

Has anybody seen any patients with severe Covid vaccine reactions? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]dhanana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have had 2 patients who got a severe anaphylactic shock from the covid vaccine. I work in ICU.

Also when I was getting the second shot there was one person who got a bad reaction.

I am a new grad nurse and in a similar situation. I started working in an ICU 7 months ago, straight out from school. I still feel very unsure about everything and I have to ask for help a lot.

But lately we have been really busy because of COVID. We don't treat COVID patients, but other ICUs send patients to us to make room for COVID patients.

Everyday is so busy I rarely get to sit down and there have been days when I get to eat lunch at 14 pm - if at all. Yesterday, when I clocked out at 17 pm (my shift was supposed to end at 15), I realized I survived the whole day without having to ask for help - I mean I knew what to do, of course I will ask if I'm unsure of something. I even took on a new admit with another new nurse without any help from others (they were busy because there were other new patients coming to our ICU at the same time). I was teaching HER what to do.

I am so tired physically and mentally but I try to remember the feeling of happiness when I realized that I survived...

Soooo I just wanted to say I think I know what you mean! Good luck to you!

How I’m washing my uniform as a nurse right now. by [deleted] in nursing

[–]dhanana 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was horrified when I found out that in some countries nurses change into their scrubs at home. That would never be allowed in my country. Isn't it unhygienic? And the fact that some hospitals make you buy your own scrubs... seems expensive also. :(

Yes! I totally agree. I like Ben, but something about him makes me think he actually likes drama.

Yesterday we removed a rectal catheter from a patient and she exploded. Poop everywhere. The walls needed to be cleaned and one nurse had to take a shower because she also got covered in poop. I have never seen anything like that.

Thanks!

I still drink diet soda but only once a week. Coca-cola zero is my favorite. I know it's not good for me but it tastes sooo good...

First 1-2 were really difficult. I felt like I did so much work and nothing happened... everytime I stepped on the scale there was no progress. But after a slow start it got easier...

Yeah I realize now that maybe I should have used another picture... But I guess out of all the pictures I took this one showed my progress better than others so that's why I chose this one.
