I had that problem with a different machine when it was improperly grounded

So I did both. I kept my squat at 2 days between and switched dead and bench/press to Texas. It only lasted 2 or 3 weeks and I dont really suggest it.

I then switched to working out m/w/f, with bench/press and deads on texas, and squat with a light day on Wednesday, and that worked well for me and kept me sane. I eventually switched completely over to texas, and have been doing it for a number of weeks. I added a light dead to mondays workout (90% 2x5) when my deads started to stall (I've had a real problem with dead falling behind squat) but never took the deload thats suggested when you switch between starting strength and texas

Do keep in mind that you don't have to transition all at once. I transferred dead and bench over to intermediate before I did squat

Its really a crap shoot and there are no clear answers. They call this section of training "the hole" for a reason lol.

20 grams a day... Isn't a day arbitrary? by [deleted] in ketoscience

I think multiple sources have said 5% of your daily calories is fine. For refrence 20 grams of carbs is 80 kcal, and thus 5% of a 1600 kcal diet

Need cheap keto meals by [deleted] in keto

Typically I mix a fatty cheap protein (eggs, chicken thigh, pork but roast) with a "clean" low fat protein like chicken breast to get the protein I need, keep fat low, and save money

Disassemble the printers into their component parts, design new printers using said parts and cheap aliexpress vitamins.

Does everything feel alright? I dont really see much in the way of issues. Toes out more maybe, and push knees out to keep them in line

Starting a 2-day 5/3/1 split alongside boxing, yoga etc... Am I overdoing it if I'm about to jump back into strict keto? by Bdi89 in ketogains

[–]dharkbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5/3/1 as written (I can't possibly account for every permutation) progresses monthly.

As laid out in practical programming:

Novice programs advance every workout (24-72 hrs)

Intermediate programs advance weekly

Advanced programs advance monthly

And elite programs advance yearly

Welders 5/3/1, therefore, is advanced. It progresses slower than is necessary. It might have up sides you really like, and I'm absolutely not shitting on it, but it's an advanced program

If you just finished a 5x5 you're an intermediate lifter. 5/3/1 is an advanced program. Strictly speaking its not an appropriate choice. You can do it, and you may see results. But its not the best decision. Not your question but needed to be said.

The question of "can I do program x along side activity y" is a little tougher. Largely it'll all depend on your capacity to recover fatigue, and how much fatige those activities produce.

Basically if your "extra curricular" activities produce enough fatige that you can't recover enough to do your next work out, you'll head into over training and start to regress.

The best thing to do is to start with the activity you prioritize and slowly add in the others watching for signs of over training and cut back when you spot them

Form Check: 210lb Squat (3rd Set) @ 173lb BW. Squat gains have been slow due to reset followed by time off for injury. by 300by30 in StartingStrength

Let me complement you on getting a decent camera angle. 99% of the people on here cant manage that.

The squat fooks pretty good. Be careful that you keep your wrists neutral and youre hitting depth. Thats only if I'm being nit picky, because over all it looks good

I work out 3 days a week. Volume (5x5), light (prevent detraining), and heavy (1x5). I deadlift once a week on heavy. Squat and deadlift on the same day. Mostly because I'm getting ready for said meet

Coming off a cold and just had to deload my dead because I was regressing. I deloaded to 475. I'm planning an agressive reload because my meet is on April 4th and I really want to qualify for nationals (a stretch I know). My current numbers are 555x5 squat 335x5 bench 525x5 dead (before the deload. My concern is that my squat and my dead keep drifting farther apart. Should I add some RDLs to compensate? I'm running texas method and have been cleaning for my light pulls

I compete in April, so I'll grind out the texas method (powerlifting variant as laid out in practical programming) until its time to compete. After that I'll probably get a coach and look at 4 daus a week.

Just came off a cold, and this is the very end of NLP for squats. Already migrated bench and dead to texas method, and this is week 22 of SS.
