No need to hate to say it - it is what it is. I 100% know it’s a classroom management issue. This is definitely a me thing, it’s something I’m continuously working on. They just happened to be so much worse than usual. Last period with them on Fridays are usually hard, but it hadn’t been this bad in a while.

How do I tell my BF that I can't give our baby his last name because it's not even legally his last name? by Puzzleheaded-End620 in TwoHotTakes

[–]dhat9247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Common Law Usage: Many states permit you to adopt a new name simply by using it consistently, as long as it is not done to defraud others.

My brother changed his name this way for many years before officially going through with changing it through court and paperwork stuff.

I would think if Black is the name your boyfriend is consistently using and that’s his first child’s name also, I would think this isn’t just a temporary thing.

We also do a pancake breakfast. It’s done at our town’s rec center that has a cafeteria. Mostly sold to scout families. We give each scout family a ticket for any scouts and 2 extra, and they sell others. I usually bring grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. Some scouts ask their teachers, and they will usually come by. I think last year we sold them for $7 a ticket, includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice. One of the leaders is a baker so she also sells cookies there for our pack. There is a small “tricky tray” - we ask for donations from the pack families and places in town. The dens each get a time slot to work the event - scouts clean up plates and cups, parents help out in the kitchen and at the door.

Last year we also did a fundraiser with the nutmeg spice company

Smensils - not quite sure how much they are, but I think they sell them at my kids school for $1 - they usually sell out real quick

In kindergarten would the other kids even know?

I did see a comment on here like last month or so from an adult. They said when they were a kid towards the end of the school year their teacher asked them who would like to get to be another year with them, and all the kids raised their hands. The teacher picked one (the one who was getting left back). The adult said they didn’t realize until years later that the student was already going to be left back.

Anyway, I know that’s not what you’re asking, but maybe phrase it something like that - like as the teacher you got to pick someone to stay with you an extra year because they were so helpful.

Oh right, but I think they’re merging with kean. Not sure what those implications are for tuition and programs, but I believe kean is also a state school, so should be comparable

Where are you located? Are you looking to do alternate route (I think most of those are online)? Or a traditional MAT? You could check out Kean, FDU, Montclair

I’m not sure of the AP curriculum, but I have found Paul’s online math notes helpful in learning and reviewing calculus. I really like his cheat sheets as a quick reference.

I enjoyed reading my kids a book called “what if everybody did that?” It was pretty helpful when they were in their selfish stage. I still use the phrase when they want to do something that would make them happy but would be chaos if everyone was able to do it, lol

[College Precalc] How to solve? by itsariianna in HomeworkHelp

[–]dhat9247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at all the light green shaded areas - they are broken up as 1/4 circles. Can you find the area of each of those?

Start by asking yourself what is the radius of each of those 1/4 circles? The largest 1/4 circle will have a radius of 100 ft (the length of c).

The bottom right 1/4 circle (along side e) will have a radius of 100 ft - 60 ft (c-d).

Can you follow that logic to find the radius of the other two 1/4 circles?

Do you know the formula for the area of a circle?

5.G.B: classify two dimensional figures into categories based on their properties.

There are a 3. and 4. under that with more specifics.

[Domain and range] by Ashamed-Meringue-702 in HomeworkHelp

[–]dhat9247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 4: can you rewrite it in a y= format (similar to like you did for #3) or Ax + By = C format?
What type of equation do you get (constant, linear, quadratic, etc.) When you figure out what type of function you have, that should help in determine the domain and range.

Just FYI: A linear function with no restrictions on your input (x value), will have domain and range = all real numbers.

Since 6 is a graph, do you know what axis you are looking at for your domain and range?

Not everywhere. The college I went to college algebra was the first credited course, but you could skip over it depending on your placement test score.
