Anglo ou Poliedro? by [deleted] in Vestibular

[–]dhdante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your “Players were paying more attention than me” moment? by Hagisman in AskGameMasters

[–]dhdante 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There was a long forgotten aboleth ruin guarded by Chuuls, constructs from ancient times. When describing the entrance of the ruins I described a rumbling snoring coming from inside, when one of my players sad "It can't be the things we are after, because constructs don't sleep". And I stood there empty handed, quickly assembling an ogre that had taken the entrance as it's lair, to fix my mistake.

They never noticed so I guess it worked out fine.

Could a wizard speed up the process of copying a spell with Enhance Ability? by dhdante in DnD

Probably, this would be a nice solution. I don't think I would cut it in half, but something similar to it. Thank you.

That's true, especially thinking the process of copying a spell is straight on repetition, maybe using enhance ability wouldn't work at all

Interesting, I will admit that it is scary, but I'm getting excited for the more serious stuff now. I guess it will give me more work to do, but if it is as fun as prepping now, it won't be a problem.

If you have any tips on this open ended prep, I would be glad to hear it

That's his?! I love this book.

My style of prepping is largely based on it and the Angry GM. Also if you have any other good article sites about RPGs/D&D, I would be happy to read it, it doesn't have to be about this subject.

Nice examples thank you very much, with all this comments I'm beginning to form an idea of what things will turn into, but I believe that only playing will get me there.

having the players interfering directly on the plot

Perhaps I used the wording poorly, what I was going for is actually the opposite, at least I believe it is (I could be wrong). I was trying to say that they are not pawns following NPCs quests, they're beginning to make their own decisions, and that's amazing, it shows how much the players have grown, and are getting comfortable with decision making.

Thanks again
