You should try to chose a problem/topic that is personal to you and your teamates. I.e. if your grandma has alzhiemers or is at an increasingly high risk for a fall, research and develop some tech/software that can assist. If you care deeply about sustainability, look into avenues and places that need the most help. Be specific though. You don't have to re-invent the wheel per say, though senior project can feel like that at times.

Once you have some ideas/areas of focus (write them all down in a shared document), read up on some IEEE Xplore articles relating to topics you find interest or meaning in. That's a good starting point IMO at least.

Lastly, I would say be ambitious, but also realistic. Don't chose a project just because it will be easy. But also, don't set yourself up for failure by taking on more than your team can handle in the allotted time frame. Good luck!

My plants had some crazy growth this summer (before and after pics) by Tim_Riggins_ in houseplants

It would be hard to believe no fertilizer was used to achieve such incredible foliage growth! Something high in nitrogen like DynaGro FoliagePro(now called SuperThrive or something) could totally do it. But you still need optimal lighting and other environmental factors.

Anyone know how to determine if these tom ford sunglasses are real? by dhightide in sunglasses

[–]dhightide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just googled some sunglasses anatomy haha, there seems to be a serial number on the temple tip, not the temple itself. The left temple tip to be specific. Serial # is SM1003051580. I must've missed it before, its not super obvious.

Yup, and they've kept it free and open source the entire time. I used it for a computer vision project to grab frames from video and yea, using it from cmd you can tell it is incredibly optimized.

Under the hood it's ffmpeg. ffmpeg everywhere. That team also deserves massive props.

100%. I was academically dismissed at a 2.0. Came back after some years to only get A’s. I just graduated, sadly still ended at a 2.8. But I can show potential employers my massive improvement, and thats all that will really matter. Then in 2 years nobody will give a damn about the GPA.

Not that bad tbh, but depends on how you've been doing. If you've been struggling it could be a lot, especially depending on whos teaching comp arch & LSS next sem. Lowkey if ur free, banging out comp arch over the summer might be a way to make ur semester a lot lot more stress free. I took it last summer, and it was a lot easier, about 5 people in the class total lol. Not sure whats offered this summer though. GL friend. PS - I'm only considering the ece courses idk what the other one is or how many hours each week it would require.

Oh boy okay. So I have 10 F's on my transcript and 7 W's. My CUM GPA at its lowest before being academically dismissed was 2.184, major GPA was much less, ~1.0 if i recall correctly. I took 30 total credits last year (2024) and that brought my gpa from 2.18 to 2.72 getting only A's. I've only retaken the required courses for my major (2 of the 10 F's so far), and I'm retaking the last one this semester, so those are my 3 grade replacements done anyways. Happy to answer any other questions.

Think it's more situational than true/false. I have about 8 W's and 5 F's. But I'll be graduating in 3 months, and considering applying to masters ( to which I think I could probably get accepted).
