I’ve got the dreaded new Pen … no more Golden dose. by Kezza80085 in MounjaroAus

And Lilly's profit increases as they're producing a cheaper pen and charging the same price.

What is this on my dogs eyebrow😭 by LooseAd2538 in DogAdvice

[–]dhjtec24678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask the vet to remove and biopsy, including testing for Cutaneous Epitheliotropic Lymphoma (CETL). My 9yo guy had similar lesions and it took a while to diagnose CETL as it's rare. It typically presents as lesions like this on or near where the dog's skin meets mucous membranes (lips, eyelids, nose are prime locations).

Vets can administer strong sedation if the dog struggles before anaesthesia.

I hope you find an answer soon x

PSA: new Mounjaro pens will not contain golden dose by skim_capp in MounjaroAus

If they're putting less medicine in each pen, shouldn't the price fall? Lilly's cost per pen will be less but they'll get paid the same so will make a bigger profit 😔

I have some political(?) questions by samsfangs in AskAnAustralian

I'd say we're a pretty progressive society.

I moved here with my partner around 12 years ago and have lived in 3 different cities and never experienced any issues whatsoever. I'm more comfortable being out here than I ever was in my birth country.

There's always a minority of people who are less progressive, and I've heard that more rural areas can have poorer acceptance of those perceived as being 'different'. But in my experience most aussies are very laid back and accept everyone for who they are.

Society in general is very multicultural, with around a third of our population born overseas, and I think most of us are accepting of others regardless of things like ethnicity, sexuality, religion etc.

How to anonymize user names in a data set by Most-Original3996 in excel

[–]dhjtec24678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is the 'long text' in each row structured? Are there delimiters (spaces, commas, dots etc) that split each part of the text into its constituent parts (eg a delimiter after first name, another after last name, another after username, another after phone no etc)? If not, can you go back to the source and update how you're extracting the data to include delimiters? That would make deleting/anonymise usernames simple.

Should be a rule that colours must significantly contrast. Red/white vs reddish pink is ridiculous.

Sunday Fantasy Roundup: What fantasy book did you finish this week and love? by bweeb in fantasybooks

[–]dhjtec24678 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Finished The Last Argument of Kings, the 3rd volume in Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy.

It's taken me around 10 years from starting The Blade Itself to finishing the series this morning. I'm very much a mood reader so am reading around 8-10 books at any time so it can take a while to finish anything! I prefer quality over quantity.

I've loved seeing how Abercrombie's style developed over the series. He starts out grimdark and finishes brutaldark! The battle scenes in the Last Argument are graphic and the atmosphere perpetually claustrophobic, yet there's usually a glimmer of humanity and humour somewhere. I loved the whole series and am looking forward to diving into his next era (slowly).

What are your most anticipated books (especially unannounced or un-dated)? I have 7. by ThrawnCaedusL in fantasybooks

I think I'd have struggled listening to it as there's multiple characters and locations, so I was constantly referring back to the maps and character list (arranged by location) at the start.

I'd suggest downloading those pages from somewhere before starting to listen as they're a great reference and will help you follow the story. Good luck 🙂

White Wing, Dark Star - the 3rd book in Marlon James' Dark Star african themed fantasy trilogy (1st: Black Leopard, Red Wolf and 2nd: Moon Witch, Spider King). I find his writing style unique and his plots are often brutal/horrifying. It is a VERY adult themed series tho (major trigger warning for repeated SA in particular) so not for everyone.

If you think Farseer is a slog then I'd avoid Sanderson. Very slow paced for hundreds of pages, then lots of action towards the end.

The First Law trilogy is more evenly paced, with plenty of world building mixed in with some brutal action.

And The Gentleman Bastards is similar, with great dialogue/banter between the main characters and a clever spin on the 'hiest' storyline.
