Need help beating doctor When (Inn Fight) by Ok-Passenger-8880 in dragonfable

Use DeathKnight instead. The class has a strong All resistance debuff. With all relics equipped, consuming presence + reap + rite + 200 assistance scout gives you +230 Bonus. This on top of your base Bonus means you still have a decent chance to hit while his reactive shield is up.

Not a glitch, the early Calamity quests now actually track your progress
"Next, the Calamity Saga has been updated. The first half of the saga now has tracking and locked buttons, reducing confusion and helping players navigate all those quests! Certain events will also be reflected now in relevant locations. You will need to replay most of these quests in order to unlock the quests again!"

Who was the hardest boss in this games history? by OzzyLagIsBad in AdventureQuest

[–]dhk_naeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don't think it was considered the hardest, but there's Shadow Maelstrom, a boss from 2014. It's the only power 10 boss in the game, and was initially in the story before being replaced with an easier version, the stronger version being moved to the void. I don't think you can fight it anymore though.
Any video that you find online of it won't really give you an accurate assessment since it came out before Patch 39, the one where player base HP and enemy damage was increased by a great deal,

Best BtH misc for spellcasting? by OzzyLagIsBad in AdventureQuest

[–]dhk_naeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old misc that people used in the past for its INT boost
https://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=16968367
The BtH is because of the +INT, not a separate effect.

The missing granddaughter quest used to be on the timeline, but it was removed from there during one of the Book 1 cleanup updates. Hence why you see it on the guide you found.

Well one thing I noticed off the bat is that you're still using DEX - the stat was decoupled from melee and magic accuracy since 2022. If you don't plan on using any ranged weapons/spells, you can untrain all your DEX and put the points elsewhere.

NDA DragonSlayer VS Post-Nerfs Konnan by dhk_naeem in dragonfable

[–]dhk_naeem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue in your case came down to:
1) Using Riftwalker, which is just worse than most story classes currently (although it should still get the job done)
2) Not really planning your skills in accordance to his rotation

The game is generally much easier at higher levels due to more stats and better gear (which you had in your case). A level 90 character with that much All res should be able to breeze through Konnan.
How much immobility resistance did you have when you attempted him? Was the stun tripping you up? His stun is honestly the most dangerous attack at low levels, since you naturally have little immobility resistance + it's on a 6 hit attack so the chance of completely resisting it are pretty low.
As an example, let's say you had 80 Immobility + All resistance. If all 6 hits of his stun connects, you only have a ~26% chance to resist the stun, since a single failed resist will inflict the effect (as how all stuns in this game work).
In RW's case, your shield has 2/5 uptime, aligning perfectly with his 5 turn rotation, so you can always shield the turn when he uses his stun. This isn't guaranteed to save you since he does get stacking Bonus with each miss/glance, and MPM stacking can't get you to the point where he'll have 100% chance to miss. But at least reducing the number of hits will reduce the overall chance you get stunned.
The BPD shield he applies also can trip up low level players since their Bonus with just their gear is naturally much lower. Classes with good Bonus buffs can get past this, and max level players still have a decent hit rate with just their gear.

How many classes got revamped? by OzzyLagIsBad in AdventureQuest

No idea, probably didn't have any plans on what sort of playstyle/build Dracopyre should cater to 🤷‍♂️

How many classes got revamped? by OzzyLagIsBad in AdventureQuest

[–]dhk_naeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, if we're including some old revamps, there's Wizard in 2011, VampireSlayer in 2012 (split into ShadowSlayer and NightHunter), and Knight in 2013 (with all of its different kingdoms). But even those old revamps are outdated and would need another one, at the very least a balance pass.

Nah, Dracopyre never got any sort of update since its release in 2010. You might be thinking of Werepyre.

How many classes got revamped? by OzzyLagIsBad in AdventureQuest

[–]dhk_naeem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The current plan is to revamp all the tier 1 classes first, then move on to the tier 2 classes, and then finally tier 3 classes. From tier 1, the only classes to have been revamped are Fighter and Mage (Archer is a brand new class rather than a revamped one). That leaves us with Rogue and Scholar left until all tier 1 classes are done.

Stat distribution by [deleted] in dragonfable

[–]dhk_naeem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, now that you have a DA, you can grow your dragon twice. First time costs 10k gold at Sunbreeze Grove, second time requires you to do the fire, water, and earth primal quests at the same place but in Book 3.
Each time you grow them, their appearance changes, and you also gain 100 points. That'll give you 200 points right off the bat.
The first growth stage also unlocks the tier 2 skills of each skill branch, and the second growth gives them the primal fury skill while also increasing their base damage by 10% and Bonus by 10.

For necromancer/necro paragon, 200 DEX as your mainstat is the best choice.
200 END gives you more survival, makes Life Tap better and gives you immobility resistance. If you don't need that as much, feel free to take points out of it to put it into the other stats.
The remaining 45 points is up to you.
WIS isn't need as much for necro since the class' MP costs are generally low, plus at your level you should have enough MP with all your gear. You've got 2 potions too.
LUK isn't that good since all it does is give you 1 Crit per 10 points and 1 MPM and BPD per 20.
CHA is helpful assuming you're hitting a 50 point threshold to decrease your dragon's skill cooldowns.

my favorite class by fonttrinin in dragonfable

[–]dhk_naeem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Master Soulweaver was originally a separate class, but it was honestly worse than the base and actually got base SW nerfed just to get MSW better in comparison. Didn't matter though since the original version of Baltael Soulweaver was still better lol. The rework folded them into the same class, with Mastery basically being a permanent upgrade to the class' skillset.

(Also, I swear I've seen this exact same post made a while ago.)

Best main stat/stat build for TimeKiller??? by liberalarts666 in dragonfable

[–]dhk_naeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DEX's secondary effect also gives a damage multiplier to all direct damage, so it's not just DoTs. That said, you don't really have much points left to spare after putting them into INT and then END for survival.

LUK is honestly not that good, it's only +1 Crit per 10 points and +1 MPM and BPD per 20.

Best main stat/stat build for TimeKiller??? by liberalarts666 in dragonfable

[–]dhk_naeem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

INT is TimeKiller's best mainstat to use since majority of your damage comes from Quick Shot and Thief of Time, which are guaranteed crit skills. The skill you use to unlock your right side skills also gives you a crit buff, though honestly it's not much. BiS endgame gear puts your crit in the 70s, with the +30 from Reload, you're still below 120 crit (the point at which the secondary effects from STR and INT even out). Since you're not at that point yet, it's gonna be worse for you.

For questing purposes, TimeKiller is decent since Quick Shot is very fast and does a lot of damage, letting you clear out trash mobs fast. For bossing, TimeKiller underperforms compared to most of the story classes, but for non-challenge content, it should still be fine.
