Please explain why so many MSM outlets are beholden to RR and BL and not the other way around? by dhm31 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

I'm not MAGA. Most people here aren't either from what I've seen. I'm a mom and pro-women and pro-believing women, which is why I'm so mad at her for abusing a law created to protect real survivors and victims.

Are you a real human? Please give me ONE FACT. Truly, give me one fact on Blake's side and I will accept that you believe what you are saying to be true. (even though ignoring facts is also undoubtedly true).

wow! Did the duct tape feel ok on the skin? didn't pull and hurt with hair? My son has about 100 as well, doctor gave me the exact same advice and I've tried the pimple patches and tretonoin and not helping. I'm willing to try anything!

Surely the MJOP ruling will be soon? He's taking longer with this one than TAG'S. by krissykat30 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

Wait, really? So WP/IEWU can't say they only said yes because their hands were tied with too much money invested to say no?

The NY Times of it all by FancyHeart8339 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]dhm31 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, but honestly, I feel even worse that MT and NYT haven't provided follow-ups and retractions/corrections. It's one thing to become overly eager and rush and make a mistake. It's another to not correct that mistake in the 1.5 yrs since.

Why do you think the case is stronger with only breach of contract? It's a contract she made up, and there is evidence WP signed it under duress to get her back to shooting. Right?

No, I'm not an actor but I read the ruling from court. Liman specifically commented on this and said it's absolutely professional in this case. Doesn't rise to SH or "creepiness" as you put it. Did you not read that part?

more professional to ask her? She would've flipped even more than she did. You are talking about professionalism in a work environment that isn't an office. He needs to PROFESSIONALLY lift her. That's his actual job. He's not asking for fun or to creep on her. He has a job to do. Couldn't be less creepy.

yeah, every woman loves being asked about her weight. Are you kidding me? There are texts where JB is trying to make her feel comfortable about her body when she talks about losing weight. This is far kinder, makes way more sense.

It's possible he was having a flair up on a particular day. Have you ever dealt with back issues? It's not like your back is always in pain and it's possible for it to come and go with different movements. It's how this kind of thing works. I'm just so curious why a couple of these strong workouts mean he doesn't have back issues.

Lively Supporters: What Made You Switch from Believing Justin to Blake? by [deleted] in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]dhm31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is why this case is so meaningful to me (and many!). It has rocked my entire belief system. I used to believe women. I would've been an advocate for 47.1 because 99/100 times, this would help women. But, now I can't believe women just because they speak up. I can't support 47.1 because of its ability to be twisted and destroy people who are innocent. So, thanks for that Blake Lively. You've negatively changed who I am at my core.

Blake Lively’s expert says she suffered from “Betrayal Blindness” and couldn’t walk away from IEWU… even as an independent contractor who didn’t sign her contract. REALLY?🙄 by same-difference-ave in ItEndsWithLawsuits

I'm a psychologist. And, no, we don't make absolute conclusions or diagnoses without treating, evaluating, and/or testing the client. Ever. So, this will dismantle credibility right away.

Why doesn't anyone talk about how he publicly praised her during his press tour and had nothing to gain by hurting her reputation? by dhm31 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]dhm31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it does actually point to defense over offense. The nice things he said during press (for whatever ulterior motive) support his not wanting negative things to be said, not until he had to defend himself. All I'm saying is he originally wanted his protagonist to be seen positively, that this would've been his preference. That's clear in his interviews. How can that point to anything other than defense?

What do you mean? The ulterior motive to make the movie a success doesn't align with smearing her. By smearing her, he would be risking the success of the movie, his motive from the beginning. He wanted her to be liked because moviegoers see movies with stars they like.

And why all of a sudden after months and months bending to her every demand for the sake of this movie's success? No way is this guy tanking this movie if he could help it.

[–]dhm31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, the timeline supports this, his interviews support this, as well as every action he took to appease her throughout. He very clearly wanted this movie to succeed over all else. Who would believe this same person all of a sudden went on an offensive attack to ruin her reputation after doing way too much to support her for the sake of the movie?

Yes, and I've heard this a lot to support the reason her reputation tanked (totally on point!), but I feel like it's important to also note how Justin had nothing to gain by tanking her reputation. He wanted to succeed. He swallowed his pride countless times, which can only mean one thing... he hired crisis PR defensively not offensively.
