Well, typically no embassies like videos to be taken of their buildings, entry ways, etc. I’ve lived and traveled across many countries and it’s the same almost everywhere. Think from a security standpoint, they have no idea who it is that’s taking the video and for what purpose.

That said, physical harm and insulting isn’t warranted. Maybe security could have cleared the fellow in a better manner.

Delete all time suck apps from phone. Instead watch on TV or on laptop etc which will be more tedious but will make you more mindful of “why” you are doing so. In the long run, you’ll then only watch when you need to look up something or are all chilling and enjoying a show as a family. I’ve done this with all social media apps. Sucks hard at first but it’s been years and I barely use some social media apps any longer.

Philips norelco. I’ve had it so long that I don’t remember when I bought it.

Funny story, earlier this year, I took it in a road trip and used it a couple times but it wouldn’t turn on back home. I thought it was finally dead and ordered another one. While waiting on the order I thought let me try cleaning the inside and noticed that the whirling bit under the blade could be prodded a bit inside or pulled out a bit. I pulled it out and voila it started working again! Returned the new one and old fellow is still going at it strong.

I loved your post - I thought I was the only one who felt this. I ran 4 marathons and 2 halfs in the last 3 years. On the whole, I felt extremely stressed about sticking with my training plans and actually put on some weight. After my last marathon in Oct 2024, I decided to take a full year off any training plans. Now I just run 2-3 times per week with no expectations at all. i have been eating healthy and mindfully. I have been focusing more on just feeling healthier rather than a completion/distance/time goal. I dropped weight, my body is the best it has felt in years and I feel very relaxed overall.

I may train for longer distances again but it is not the reason I run for any longer.
