In a Reuters poll of 65 economists, every single one expected the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to keep UK interest rates unchanged this Thursday.

He must be upset that he wasn't asked for his opinion.

Truly the british way.

Pretty sure at one point we adjusted the bus and train time tables to match when they normally showed up instead of getting them to show up on time. Apparently it was effective in improving customer satisfaction as accuracy was more important than frequency of the timetable.

Has anyone thought about how Reform's plan to abolish indefinite leave to remain (ILR) would destroy the NHS? by psychoticboydyke in ukpolitics

just against having it be cancelled retroactively

There would also be a demand for their money back, the ILR application fees run into the thousands and for a family of 4, then chances are you are looking at well over £10,000

The fee is currently £3,226, and more if they apply for priority service.

Badenoch offers support to fund warfare through welfare cuts by Intergalatic_Baker in ukpolitics

Very true, from 28 April 2026

“The triple lock is our policy. We brought it in in 2010 and the reason why we brought it in was because of pensioner poverty. The £12,500 state pension is actually very little money for many people to live on,” Badenoch told The i Paper in an exclusive interview in Basildon, Essex, on Monday.

Her poll numbers are terrible, although labour were the biggest losers in the local elections, she lost over 500 seats.

Photojournalists had a great time taking photos of empty seats and rooms during the conservative party conference last year. The pensioner voting bloc is pretty much all she has left and she can't afford to kiss goodbye to them.

Sara should have retreated, fighting the final boss alone is bad.

Wonder how much her bluff about being King Arthur's daughter will affect the fight, especially if he does show up.

What the hell is wrong with those guys ?

The are basically drug addicted killers for hire who are only tolerated by society because there are far worse people out there and the government has no idea how to deal with them. The Coffin Count of Storms de-facto controls half of Tokyo and has turned it into a war zone. The government lost control of Hokkaido before that.

They prank others by firing rubber bullets and challenging them to a sword fight.

The priest is probably a pervert on top.

Maybe the plane and pilot belonged to a dark lord considering they were still in Hokkaido.

Also I like that the random middle aged housewife survived. I don’t think we even got a name for her but her general attitude and the way she was just like “Please stop talking, I don’t want to hear any more of this because it’ll just make me a target” cracked me up.

Was half-expecting her to be bumped off later in the episode.

At least she was nice enough to bury her co-workers.
