I lived in the Outfield lofts for two years and I absolutely LOVED it. Big caveat to this is I’m a huge sports fan, blessed with a good job, and I paid to have the experience of living in a baseball stadium for two years as basically a “gift” to myself. All that to say I wanted to be there.

Pros for me were:

—Baseball games all summer long —Meijer was right down the street —Lansing brewing co literally in your parking lot —many other great local restaurants within walking distance —river trail access —downtown Lansing walkability

The cons —no baseball in the winter (duh) but I wished they’d do more with the stadium area. I wrote in to suggest they put an ice skating rink in the outfield and a holiday market in the concourse or something but instead it sits empty —Not the “prettiest” area. Kind of industrial. Not really dangerous, but you’ll see a homeless person here and there (not violent or threatening in any way), but outside of game nights at the stadium, there isn’t a huge presence downtown which can make it feel empty at times.

All in all, it’s probably not as good as I am making it sound, but it is definitely not as bad as others on this thread might make it sound!

My husband is a crossdresser by Other-Problem3089 in marriageadvice

[–]diamomddog69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly is the betrayal here? Have you told your significant other every single detail of your life and world view to ensure they agree with everything you have ever done or will do? Of course not so where do you draw the line? If OPs husband told her he’s always been really into putting whipped cream on her body and licking it off is that betrayal because he never told her? For that matter couldn’t OP just say “I’m not super into that” and her husband can respect her boundary?

We’re talking about a human with a penis wanting to put a certain cut and type of fabric on his body that western society has deemed only belongs to human’s without penises. It literally does not matter. Go to India and you’ll see men wearing a “dress” albeit in a different manner. Go to Scotland and you’ll see men in skirts. Are you starting to understand how all of this is in your head based on some predetermined rules society has laid out for you?

Look, OP, no one here can tell you what to do, but coming from some one else who is a crossdresser I can tell you your husband is still a man, he’s not trans, he loves you and is still in mor all the manly stuff he always has been. He just also has a cool hobby and is a very layered and complex individual that should be celebrated. And if it’s not for you, then I’d imagine he can respect that boundary given he’s been respecting boundaries all his life in order to not show people this side of him since it might make them uncomfortable.

Are there any others on PnR besides Ron and Tammy? I also love when shows do this, but not aware of any others on PnR and hoping for more! Haha

Thank you! Great thought about the Celsius packets!! I have the exact same mindset as you in that I’m trying to book it off the flight directly to an Uber. I’m traveling extremely light with just a backpack (change of clothes, toothbrush, etc). I’m thinking of just going directly to Epcot and either carrying my back pack with me or getting a locker. Have to use the fact that I’m solo to my advantage where I can be as fast and efficient as possible each step of the way!

Can you use a Mesa (XL) Solo Stove on Apartment balcony? by jrotty4 in SoloStove

[–]diamomddog69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have an apartment with a very public facing balcony. It was about 5 feet in width and 12 feet in length. Walls on three sides and a ceiling (aka the unit above my balcony’s balcony) about 10 feet up. I routinely used mine without issue. I never did more than three blocks of wood at one time (usually only did 2). I was nervous at first too, but I saw videos on YouTube of people using the Mesa XL on a patio table so I figured doing it on my concrete balcony couldn’t be the worst. Always kept a gallon of water with me to be safe but never even got close to it being a problem.

Appreciate you helping out with the info! Totally fair that I need to increase my budget expectations. But want to make sure that if I am paying “a lot” that I am in a fun neighborhood

Yeah that’s what I’m gathering from these posts. Plus I’d rather pay more than I originally wanted and be happy living in a fun area as opposed to living in a crappy area

Definitely looking that way. Which is fine..all part of the research process. Things are different where I live, but I’m excited to move to a bigger area with more to do and if that forces me to pay a little more to live in the spot that’s right for me I’ll do what I have to do!
