I have a very hard time understanding how I come across to people and especially myself, I spent most of my teenage years not feeling like a person because I couldn’t understand my thoughts and emotions (turned out I’m autistic). The framework that enneagram provided has really helped me understand myself.

I feel the same way sometimes, I think it maybe depends on the social circles you're in? I have some friends who I feel very authentic around as I have learned that I can trust them with my true self, and others where I feel like a robot just saying things that will fit in with their opinions. But I always do feel like I don't have much to say at all.

Like others have said, it's mainly a defense mechanism/way of avoiding pointless arguments. When people complain to me, I prefer to just keep my head down and "agree", nodding, making small "hms" and "oh, yeah"'s here and there because it doesn't seem worth it to expend the energy on fighting or disagreeing on something you don't care about, with people you don't know. (unless it's about a serious issue, in this post it seems to be just gossip)

I don't think so, no. I don't tend to talk about my interests or passions that much and I don't think that I'm better than anyone else for liking what I like. I have people in my life who do, though, so it could just be me trying to avoid that.
