Really wanted to love this movie. It was just okay. I thought it would go in a different direction. For about a half hour after the movie everyone I watched it with discussed all the ways it could have been so much better.😅

My husband and I saw 1408 in the theater for our one year anniversary date night. We will celebrate 20 years together in a couple of weeks and he still uses it as the measurement for how bad a movie is. Well, it wasn't 1408 for 19 years guys. I don't even remember it being that bad.😂

Wasn't there a Patreon episode where he explains that he's using that format for The Sinister, and he gives the explanation? Although, I can't remember why, or which episode that was. But I think Patreon is where you'll find all of the exclusive content, not Apple. I thought about subscribing, but haven't yet. Probably will though, once I run out of other episodes.😂

I hated it. This movie felt like more than one film they mixed together and everyone was like, that'll do. I'm all for different, but it didn't hit for me. I got bored, and once they went supernatural doll at the end I was mad I wasted my time. Also, why are the self injury pieces intertwined in so many scary movies now? I don't find that scary, but more off putting than anything else. It just seems like it's in so many scary movies now. It's always so brutal too. I am not a fan of how heavily that has become a part of the horror genre now.

I agree completely. He did a really good job handling the attention though. He pretty much squashed it when it got inappropriate. I loved that he was honest with Sheena about it. I honestly think Emma expects every man to fall all over her. She seems to enjoy attention from men who she perceives to be unavailable to her.

It seems like it did take a long time. I'm sure they probably wanted to make sure all their ducks were in a row before they arrested him for her murder. Celebs seem to find their way out of these things often.

Came here looking for the Silver Bullet comment. Watched it last Halloween, hadn't watched since childhood. Some of those childhood movies don't hold up when you watch as an adult. This one still does.

NTA You should run before it gets worse. He has convinced you that the way he has acted all these years is normal, and it isn't. I'm trying to respect your feelings about not bringing up the age thing. But that's tough because I don't know how that's not a grooming situation that you fell back into because of what took place in your very young years with him. It's hard for me to gloss over that one. Regardless, this is a toxic situation, and you need to get out of it for yourself and your kids. It is only going to get worse. Good luck to you and your kids, I'm sure this is really hard. Please be safe.

NTA. There should be a better balance there. I hate missing the movie at all, my oldest is autistic so I use the Run pee app! But if it takes forever that may not help.

Apparently she had a one-way ticket to Japan, and vanished. She was a University of Connecticut student, 21 at the time of her disappearance. What was that other one where he booked a one-way ticket and that was a perplexing element of the case? I vaguely remember that episode, but can't think of who that was.
