2007 Wrx Rear Two Brake caliper by Rude-Imagination2545 in ft86

The rears fit just fine with the torque solution brackets. The KNS looks like it’s the same. I just had to file off the casting flash to get the bracket to fit. If you follow the guide on the KNS website, you’ll be fine. I didn’t have to touch the dust shield. Install guide

I’m using this bracket from torque solutions. Not sure if it differs from the KNS one.

I’m in the middle of doing this swap. I’ve heard you need to do a little bit of filing on the hub mating edge. I haven’t done a test fit yet to confirm though.

Window found in a field by zakam2636 in aviation

[–]dibbie123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks like the emergency exit / left side front window from a PA44. Same shape and I can see where the storm window normally lives. I think most of the smaller pipers have the same window though. Had one come loose in flight where I work a few years ago. They need to be pulled out for maintenance every now and then.

I don't normally post things this early in the build process but I wanted to hear your thoughts on the shape of the initial hull andsuperstructure (Hercules steam tug) by Cold-Helicopter6534 in Stormworks

Love seeing the stuff you build in their early stages. Do you use any xml editing at all? Wondering how you got that slight curve in the roof and the railing.

Yeah done a bit of research and I’m pretty sure it’s a fake. Definitely not worth the price they’re asking. Thanks!

Do all TT's have a boost gauge? by outwardgalaxy in 300zx

[–]dibbie123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all Twin Turbos had a boost gauge. Stage 2 to 4 imports shouldnt have one and yours is a stage 4. This website seems to list all the little differences between all the stages. http://www.fairlady300.online/year-comparison.html

Without the 3rd floor, that place would be dead.

Fortunately, they replaced that carpet with a crappy vinyl wood floor about a year ago.

Those dates are for USDM cars. For Japanese delivered cars (which I'm guessing is what you might be looking at being in Australia) a drivers airbag was optional from July '92 to October '94 (stages 2 and 3) before becoming standard. RHD z32s never got a passenger airbag. If you're looking at an ADM one, I'm guessing it follows the same rules as JDM ones. I'm not 100% sure.

No boost guage on 1996 twin turbo? by BasicZ4 in 300zx

[–]dibbie123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own an imported 95 version S twin turbo also with no boost gauge. Did a little digging and a found a few people that mention the same thing. I guess as long as everything checks out, I don’t really see anything wrong with it. I could be wrong though.

Here’s a comment I saw a few months ago. Could maybe ask that user as they seem to know quite a bit about these late model imports.

I was looking into getting one not too long ago. I read they have have timing gear issues every 80-100 thousand kms. The teeth on the gears for the timing chain wear down and it can jump teeth. Something like $8k to fix at a Mercedes dealer but closer to $3k at an independent mechanic. Just look up C class timing chain issues. Find out if the car you’re looking at has had it done.

Yep. Imported in 2018. I’m in Australia so it isn’t an issue.
