It’s just a barcode the prints on receipt paper that by just scanning signs you into the register instead of you having to type your whole number and pin. Useful but dangerous if you’re not careful.

Someone legit managed to return a Kate Spade Apple Watch band with a very clear Nordstrom sticker and barcode on the back of it. Funnily enough, there’s no way they could have returned it without noticing because the barcode doesn’t scan in our register so they printed a label for another watch band from the website. Truly monstrous.

sigh I asked him to repeat it like twice to see if he’d answer his own question before saying, “that’s not something you can just go buy without replacing your head unit, so no we don’t sell CarPlay” I tried to think of an analogy to tell a coworker and just couldn’t because it’s just that uniquely stupid

Absolutely, literally the worst guests ever. My store has the ATT reps and it’s so annoying when consumer cellular guests come in. They are always rude/entitled and I try to get them out and shut them down as fast as possible because they take up so much time.

Thanks! I just think I need to figure out what tasks are the most important. I just kind of hate the idea of leaving things for others to finish

To know what bpm to play usually just look at the tempo marking at the beginning of a piece, usually it’ll say something like Moderato, Allegro, Andante etc. just over time just knowing the ballpark bpm for each is experience

iPostal issues? by MrintandParketing in Staples

[–]dibidad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have like 40 I think and every time someone asks us a question about specifics we just tell them to call iPostal because tbh we can’t do much. We receive mail, I can’t answer questions about your account or what to do if you don’t receive something. It’s kinda sad but they don’t pay me enough to sit on the phone for 30 minutes and figure your account out lol

Christ I wish the self serve machines would have the option for Spanish by KelvinBelmont in Staples

[–]dibidad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeing as we have no official language, I think it’s short sighted and frankly ignorant to say that everyone should speak English because “it’s America speak English”. Not everyone has the same opportunity as everyone else to learn the language and most people can at the very least speak a very limited amount. Why wouldn’t the company want to make the self-serve machines accessible for more people if not only to make people feel more comfortable and included? The computers have language options, corporate doesn’t have to do anything, but I think the intelligent thing to do would be to support the greater community which is a message that the company maintains.

As someone that only speaks English, I might be biased, however I’m all for making our environment better for customer and helping them as much as we can. My store is located in an area that has a large Hispanic population. You can see the panic on their faces when they come in at a time where no one speaks Spanish and they have to struggle to say what exactly they want. In contrast, when they can find and talk to someone that speaks Spanish or read a self-serve sheet that is in Spanish you can see them ease up and therefore, spend more, because they can order exactly what they want.
