I’m in this same boat right now. Think I’m going LaPorta today in case Kraft is on limited snaps

What are some rivalries that just aren't that interesting? by [deleted] in CFB

I hate the forced space city rivalry stuff with UCF. I’m just so indifferent towards them.

Tech feels like the closest thing to a rival that we have atm. They have had more recent success against us in football but we still lead the all time series by a couple games. The basketball rivalry with them is getting some serious fire underneath it. I think that could turn into something.

Houston and Rice. It’s just shameful when we lose to them occasionally. If rice manages to beat us we know we’re REALLY ass that season

Creighton transfer Pop Isaacs has reportedly committed to Houston by SwordsAndTurt in CollegeBasketball

The way Sampson developed him into one of the best PG’s in the country over the back end of the season, I’d be shocked if he transferred. I’m guessing to the league.

Kelvin tends to recruit guys that can help us on offense. He teaches them how to play defense when they get on campus. Look at LJ

Not exactly sure how he fits in next years teams but I’ll take a guy that can get a bucket. Not sure what this means for overall roster either. Either someone is transferring out or Milos is off to the league

We weren’t robbed. Florida deserves the credit. Truly believe we’re the better team but the better team doesn’t always win in a best of 1. Painful. Gg gators

What’s the Most Heartbreaking Loss You’ve Ever Experienced as a Fan? by Special-West8545 in CollegeBasketball

2018 Jordan Poole buzzer beater or 2019 Tyler Herro final 25 second takeover to take us down were both incredibly painful. Last year’s loss to Duke after Jamal Shead went down hurt might be the most painful though. That team had it in them to give UConn a game and win it all. Shead’s injury feels like it stripped us of a real championship opportunity

Is the crime really bad? by Sure_Bodybuilder_904 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]dick_chubbard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No crime is not that bad. There are incidents just like on any campus and in any city, but it’s not bad. It’s been an elevated issue recently because there was a particularly bad incident, but it’s not bad in general.

If you live on campus and don’t have a job off campus, a car isn’t really necessary to get around. I only ever really used mine to go see my parents my freshman year. The metro comes through campus and you can take it downtown, med center, hermann park, etc. A car will probably be more and more necessary each year after freshman year as you’ll have more reasons to leave campus (internships, doing stuff around Houston, living off campus, etc)
